“A gorgeous garden”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2012

This is an excellent stopover for those coming from Kalka to Chandigarh. A 17th century Mughal garden, now a part of Haryana... is immaculately maintained and a treat to the eyes. It has a sloping ground and is adorned with fountains and grand pavilions. The garden is full of varied species of beautiful, aromatic flowering plants, big trees, mango orchards, litchi orchards and several shrubs. With hills in the background, the view is magical.

“A Garden on Rajasthani- Mughal Design at Pinjor”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2012

Pinjor Garden is located at the village Pinjor about 22 Kms from Chandighar , North India. It was built in 17th Century by an architect Nawab Fidai Khan. After its inception it was refurbished by the former King of Patiala Maharaja Yadavendra Singh and the garden was restored to its old
glory , since it had grown to wild-jungle after its formation , due to long years of neglect. In recognition to such splendid efforts of the King , the Garden is also known as
" Yadavendra Garden ". The Garden is built in Seven Terraces with its Main Entrance at the
highest level. The Garden- design is based on the Rajasthani- mughal pattern. It is a lovely tourist spot while driving on Ambala- Shimla NH 22.

The simple but attractive views of the Garden are illustrated in the pictures of the Review.

It is definitely a good spot to visit , which does not need any additional/special efforts due to its very favourable location.

“Visual treat for the Eyes and Soul”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2012

We were on our way back home from out trip to Himachal and our Resort owner at Shimla had suggested this place as stop over before we finally moved home. What a wonderful place it is,a virtual treat for the eyes and soul in this hot summer weather of North India.Beautiful Flowers,Green Grass Lawns,Beautiful Mughal Style Buildings and fountains, fruit laden trees. This place reminded me of the wonderful Mughal style Gardens in Srinagar-India.I must thank Gardeners of Pinjore Gardens to have maintained such beautiful place in this heat.I can imagine, how beautiful it must be looking like in the winter season of North India.Thanks.
