The weather is very nice in monsoon. Winters are cool too as compared to nearby regions. This is out mid-way halt while going to Shirdi from Gujarat. Nice tea and some snack(which is not very good though). If time permits then go for boating.
Also rope way and sunset point are the major attractions. We also found the paragaliding in summers. Not sure how is the monsoon festival there which has been started from last 2-3 years.
All in all a nice weekend gateway in the natural surrounding away from the polluted and crowded cities.

Best time to visit this place is after few showers. Also government organizes Saputara Carnival around August, so plan your trip around that time. Do cross Maharashtra border, there is scenic roads ahead for a good photos

It is small lake. Mostly pedal boats are available. One of the two places is govt. run I suppose, so the rates are lower as compared to the other one. They don't insist on wearing life jackets here. It can be fun with small children.
There are very few places to see in Saputara. the other worthy attraction is the ropeway.
I enjoyed early morning walk in the quite and cool climate very much, though wasn't fortunate to witness the sunrise due to clouds.
About 60 kms. down towards Surat, there is a waterfall ,Gira falls. After monsoons ,it is pleasure to watch this .There is also a botanical garden about 2km. from it ,Vaghai garden. One can relax here for sometime.

The Saputara Lake is small lake with clean water. The lake has a walkway around its boundary. It is nice place to sit and relax. There is also a boating facility on the lake but the boats are very old. The area near the boating point needs cleanliness. There are few food vendors near the lake. There are few rides for kids as well. The lake is the only water source for Saputara town.
