We were staying at a local Hotel in Anand for a wedding when we ran into an American couple from NY. They asked us if we had been to the new Resort / Spa? Our Hotel was not so nice, so we ran right over with our friends to take a look. The resort had just opened. I think something like 117 acres with fantastic sculpture and landscaping. The staff was great! The place has a nice feel to it and is super clean. The rooms were impressive as well as the Giant infinity pool. We slept well for 4 nights, made friends with the staff, had 2 nice massages & hung out in the tea garden a lot. We thought they did a great job with the food.

We had heard that this was an excellent place for a weekend trip. So after one year of hearing about this place we decided to try it out. My wife uses a wheelchair so we were hoping that the place was well laid out with slopes and lifts.

We found the architecture far better than anything modern I have seen in India in over 10 20 years of travelling here. Beautiful original architecture using the best materials and extremely well designed around a mature mango orchard. So as you walk around the many buidlings you are surrounded by greenery including mature mango trees!

The swimming pool is very long and winding like a meandering river. Excellent garden features and tiled roofs of the building give it a charming setting.

We found the staff excellent. Very attentive and very keen to get things right. We were treated with great consideration and tact. My wife really enjoyed the food which had an extensive salad bar. The fresh orange juice was the best I have had in India. I feel the oranges where imported and certainly as sweet as Jaffa oranges. Also imported was Gouda and Brie cheese. Very nice touch! The staff looked after my wife so kindly helping her with the buffet (which I normally do but as they were so helpful it was not necessary).

My son really enjoyed the swimming pool and did we enjoy plaing chess in the 'activity room'. They can arrange tours of the nearby Amul dairy but not on Sundays. We also enjoyed the sometime on-key live band that did a reasonable job of some good western songs and Beatles numbers.

The children's play area had very good quality swings and climbing frames, slides etc but the sand pit was a little untidy with litter (from guests) and a concrete block that looked like it shouldn't be there in the sand.

A little pricey but certainly an excellent hotel with good ambience and lovely original works of art. There are also two ponds of beautiful large Koi carp fish in front of the spa. If you were to compare this with the 5 star Oberoi in Udaipur the Madhuban would come out tops on food and ambience and certainly better value.

The big winner for us was that all the doors were wide enough for the wheelchair and there were slopes every where so for once we didn't have to struggle with any steps. Even in the room there was plenty of space to get into the bathroom.

Excellent place. We will definitely be visiting again. I would agree that it is very much suited to NRIs and I suspect that the management has taken that into account.

There are a couple of small shops selling very high quality jewellery and fabrics.

I visited the hotel with my friends and children. The location of the hotel is on Anand-Vidyanagar highway. You cannot judge the hotel from outside but once inside the main gate, the scenario changes. You cannot believe you are in Gujarat. It is as good as any resort in Goa. Only the beach is missing. The rooms are spacious and clean. The pathways leading to the cottages are named by the pols(street in Gujarati) of different fruits. The cottages are also well-maintained, clean, spacious, well-lit with all modern amminities. The bathrooms are the highlight of of the cottages. They are very huge with separate shower-tray , WC, closets for clothes and a huge marble bath tub. The restaurant serves lavish breakfast, lunch and dinner apart from in-between snacks. The spa within the resort is very nice and reasonable. The pedicured gardens and mango-groves are very well maintained. There are two swimming pools within the resort, one out of which is the largest in Gujarat. A nice resort for a weekend getaway.

The food was not good. Nothing is great .The service was very bad. The food was not up to the five star level that they claim. Reception staff attitude was very bad. Their was no sufficient staff. Hotel PRO Mrs. Kamini don’t know how to talk with guest . Spa service was very bad. This is not proud for Gujarat this is most worst hotel by all the means. Deepak Hundia.
