Kaziranga Golf Resort is like hidden jewel nestled in the midst of tea gardens and has one of the best maintained golf courses in the region.

The main building is a heritage structure that reminds you of the luxury and pomp of the days gone by. The owners have done an excellent job in preserving and maintaining this property by converting it into a resort-cum-golf club.

The accommodation is in the form of self-contained villas overlooking the lawns and the golf course. The abundant wildlife and natural beauty that surrounds you while you stay at this immaculate property is something you will surely enjoy and cherish.

The staff are helpful and co-operative and the food served at the restaurant is excellent.

Highly recommended.

Room tip: Stay closer to the main building

Truly disappointed. Rooms shabby, only two hair dryers for all rooms. They did not tell me i needed to flip a switch for a hot shower therefore first night soi took a cold shower. A fellow guest toldme about the switch. The food was mediocre.

The location is lovely, though a bit of a trek from Jorhat. It is set in a tea estate with its own golf course and accommodation is in bungalows with public areas in a block around the entrance. Rooms have a lovely big bed, TV, free wifi, heaters and bathrooms with plumbing problems! There is a spa and supposedly a swimming pool though it was empty and obviously had not been in use for some time. What no-one tells you is that there is a railway line running directly behind the bungalows and it sounds as if the train is about to run through your room. Fortunately there do not seem to be trains during the night but the first one in the morning goes before 6am so you don't need an alarm clock. There is a cosy bar and food is OK but not inspiring.

Situated at a distance of around 20 kms from Jorhat town & around 75 kms from the famous Kaziranga National Park , this is a place to unwind with family & experience the joy of staying in a tea garden with the additional benefit of an 18 hole golf course - at your disposal.

The easiest way to reach this place is from Jorhat Airport , which is roughly a 35-40 min drive . One can fly down to Guwahati and drive from there as well . However the road beyond Nagaon is quite bad ( double lane old state highway ) so it would take you around 6 -6.5 hrs from Guwahati with a small break . Alternatively you can take a train from Guwahati as well. The last option is to take a flight to Dimapur and drive from there ( roughly 3.5 hrs )

Once you reach this place , you are welcomed to warm Assamese Hospitality . The look and feel of the main property is of a club house and the moment you step into the property , you notice the beautiful golf course around it . The checkin process was very smooth and the hotel was sensitive enough to keep hot lunch waiting for us even though we got late by a couple of hours and reached by 4 pm .

The rooms are in form of small cottages in pairs of 2 . All of them have a comfortable sitting area outside with chairs and a small table . Rooms are clean / spacious and are comfortable to move around. There is free Wifi around the property and the rooms get decent signal . There is a split AC and 2 fans in the rooms for your hot summer days . They provide you with an electric kettle for your early morning / late night tea / coffee . I did notice a laminated sheet of paper kept on the side table , with the numbers of all the channels on TV , so that you can easily find your fav channel to watch .

Some of the rooms have a slightly smaller bathroom , but they are clean . The resort also provides you decent quality toileteries .

There is a sports room with a Pool Table / TT Table / Carrom Board / Board Games and other sports items which could be purchased or rented . For Golfers , there is a 18 hole golf course to play. The reception area also has a selection of Assam Tea which you can purchase .

The food gives you enough options , however i would strongly recommend you to try the local cuisine . The have room service and hence you can enjoy the food in your little sitting area as well. However tea / coffee is also served in the lawn outside . There is a vintage bar which has a good collection of alcohol , at very reasonable prices as well.

They also arranged a visit to the local tea factory , at a cost of Rs 500 / person . Its a nice walk ( around 700 meters ) through the gardens and should be a part of your itinerary .

I was very touched by the quality of service and the simplicity of the staff there . All of them would wear a smile on their faces , the one which is from your heart . They went out of their way to accommodate a lot of our service requests as we also had little kids with us. A few people whom i would like to thank are Shymanta Gogoi - Service , Debojit Das - Restaurant Manager , Karuna Das - Bartender , Bipul Borah and Duala Prakash - Chef

The Hotel also has a Spa with rates which would certainly tempt you to go for a massage

It is a beautiful resort set in natural surroundings. Lush green outdoors with a golf course to boot. Tea Gardens are spread all around. It’s sister resort Thangal Manor is also nearby where Priyanka Chopra, who is the brand ambassador of Assam Tourism stayed. Food is good. It’s a once in a lifetime experience to stay here.
