“Nice cafe, but not on HillRock”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

This cafe is really nice, clean and well maintained inside. We had ordered only beverages like coffee and juice and it's nice also. little expensive but nice option to spent time in Puttaparthi and very close to Asharam too.

As name suggest, I though it will be on hill rock and nice location. But it's in narrow and crowded road and located in 1st floor. once you reach the cafe then it's really nice.

“Elegant, Elitist, Expensive”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

Being a place designed for western tastes, this restaurant justifies its name apart from the "hanuman"!
the ambience is amazing - good quality furniture, smart (pleasant to the eyes!) lighting and the authentic european interiors(down to the cutlery!)
they even have a book shelf and WiFi for those who like to lounge!
another great thing is the instrumental music (western of course!) they play! - and it's a good collection. never heard them repeat same stuff in our many visits..
food is good quality-they source authentic ingredients from bangalore, chef is good &innovative. We've enjoyed the salads, pastas and drinks on many occasions (their non alcoholic drinks menu makes u feel spoilt for choice!) as we stay in Puttaparthi.
sadly, as indians we miss the usual niceties - like the food is entirely continental (apart from the American breakfast) though they've started 2 indian items everyday since a month, they serve only from a daily menu which is like a 20% abridged version of the original (coz its difficult times after Baba departed) service is a drag(it takes them 10 mins to take the order and another 20 to serve!), its exorbitant(higher than comparable places in bangalore) and the serving sizes are designed for 1 person!
But overall it's still The best place to go for foreigners in this village city and definitely worth checking out for even indian tourists, especially for the quality of ambience and food..

“Wonderful Western restaurant”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

Great menu for Puttaparthi visitors from Europe and North America. Expensive for most Indian visitors. Very good and creative lacto-veg adaptations of well known western dishes.

“Excellent place!!”
Reviewed August 12, 2012

This dainty little restaurant offers continental cuisine comparable to any restaurant in Paris or Berlin. Excellent service and the staff need special mention. Highly recommended and it doesnt cost much in my opinion.

“Oasis in Puttaparthi”
Reviewed August 7, 2012

Usually i am not a friend of westernized locations in India (or generally SE-Asia), but this location has prooven to be a great retreat from buzz outside. Staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, the coffee is by far the best in Puttaparthi and both food and drink are creative, well prepared and nicely presented. At the current time, with daily multi-hour power cuts, the generator powered AC and WiFi are a lifeline. Not very surprisingly, frequented primarily by westerners. The sunday brunch has currently been suspended, but should resume beginning in February, according to the restaurant manager.
