We have just come back from an amazing 5 days at Lantern and Larks in Bleasedale and it was just fantastic. So many little extra touches kept the kids entertained: the mown grass to give them a space to play football, the 12 wild things to do, the bug hunting pits and magnifying glasses, giant colouring in.... they loved it. Not even the rain could dampen our spirits. We had a lovely walk thanks to the guided maps in the tents, explored bluebell meadows and the waterfalls. You wouldn’t think you were just outside Preston it was idyllic and peaceful. It’s a rare find to get a glamping sure that can accommodate all 6 of us. Definitely worth a visit.

This was my first glamping experience - and was not disappointed . From the arrival welcome to the cleanliness and space in the safari tent , to the wonderful views of the trough of bowland - this was a great experience.
I would fully recommend Lanterns and Larks to anyone looking for a glamping break .
Many thanks to the booking team and Jeremy as the main host.

We spent an extremely warm Easter break at the Bleasdale location fo Lanterns & Larks. I grew up 10 mins away from ehre, so was walready well aware of the beauty of this unspoilt corner of Lancashire. However, I was still not prepared for the amount of wildlife we saw on a daily basis! Morning and evening flyovers from barn owls, countless pheasants, curlews and oystercatchers and plenty of sheep and lambs in the field directly in front of our tent. Wonderful!
It was so peaceful at night and the tents are very well kitted out, with comfy beds, great kitchen facilites and the all important private flushing loo and hot shower! The little extras, such as solar powered fairy lights, numerous candles and the loan of books and toys from the shop are an added bonus. The woodburner really got the tent nice and cosy in the evenings and mornings too and the free logs were a very good idea and most welcome!
Our kids played with other kids on the site, as it's small enough to let them roam free a little, and went to bed happy and exhausted every night. They slept the most they've ever slept in their lives!
This is a great location for lots of great day trips out, including the Lake District and there's some fantastic cycling on the doorstep through the Trough of Bowland, which my husband took part in.
Our children (aged 6 and 3) said it was the best holiday they'd ever had. We will be back!

We had been to another glamping location before this but the Safari tents at Bleasdale were really well equipped and much better than what we have stayed in previously.
It was a bit chilly at night time, however once the fire inside was roaring, the whole tent warms up nicely. There's plenty of firewood on site to keep the fires burning too!
The candles, blankets and hot water bottles were a nice touch. And to have plumbed toilets and showers in the tent is pure luxury for a camping holiday!

The site itself is located in beautiful surroundings and we went out for a few walks to explore the area.

Such a great place to relax, we felt fully recharged after the weekend spent glamping in Bleasdale.
