“Touristy but well done”
Reviewed June 1, 2014

Yes it is a it touristy in here but it does have a "wow" factor. Plenty of space and plenty of room at the wine tasting bar for lots of people to all taste at once. Staff were mostly very friendly and you got to taste oodles of wines. We did enjoy our visit and we also ended up having lunch at Jacobs Restaurant.

“Very nice. Worth a visit”
Reviewed June 1, 2014

We stopped off at Jacobs Creek visitor centre mainly because it was easy to find plus they had a restaurant. We had fun wine tasting before lunch and then we went into our reserved table. We ended up just having bruschetta and then the mushroom pizza. Was a hard decision. It we just decided that, although there were lots of lovely dishes on the menu, we decided we only needed something light for lunch. The bruschetta was quite nice with roasted tomatoes and a smooth pesto sauce. Perhaps a little too much olive oil which made it a bit soggy and it was served cold and at the same time as our pizza which led me to suspect the bruschetta was cooked first and then waited for the pizza. The pizza was quite tasty with ricotta and mushroom working well together. We did the right thing ordering light. It was actually quite filling

We really did enjoy this restaurant. The views are lovely and the staff were fantastic. Well worth a visit here

A lovely setup in a beautiful setting. Very friendly staff and great menu. Although it was a bit early for lunch we were sorry we hadn't planned our day better. We'll be back.

“Didn't disappoint”
Reviewed May 7, 2014

I am a bit of a Jacobs Creek fan. It is my chardonnay of choice and anybody that knows me, knows that this is my drink.

So it was certain that when we stayed in the Barossa Valley, we would have to visit the estate. Firstly we did a big walk around the estate and the vineyards. Walked for kms, all over the land, along footpaths that lead to the old buildings that used to be the winery which was all very old and vintage looking.

We chose not to do an actual wine tour, but instead got ourselves a table on the back deck and had a really beautiful lunch from the restaurant with a couple glasses of my fave wine.

It didn't disappoint, the food was really nice, it was good that it was very uncrowded so we very much got the place to ourselves. The service from the staff was excellent (asking to make us up a table outside rather than inside with no hesitate from them).

I thought everything was quite terrific! It maybe didn't have some of the charm that some of the smaller vineyards tend to have, but for such an iconic brand, we thought it was a really lovely afternoon.

“Great visitor centre”
Reviewed May 3, 2014

We felt a bit clichéd going here as its a bit touristy but they offer a really lovely winery lunch and the visitor centre and walks were great.
