“Something for everyone”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

We basically checked out Jacobs Creek Visitor Centre because it is there and is an Iconic brand around the world.
Well there is something here for everyone. Beautiful bushland setting with the Famous Jacobs Creek running through the property. There are bike tracks and walking trails, picnic areas and of course the visitors centre.
If you want history there is an excellent display and lots of items to see and touch!
There is even some examples of the cork from the recently harvested 43 year old trees from the Jacobs farm.
We took the tour in the show vineyard featuring 14 varieties of grapes. Our guide Lynne (a local "girl") was fantastic, passionate and had in depth knowledge of the wines and Barossa valley.
We sat down to a tasting of a very wide range of wines including the Iconic "Steingarten" or garden of stones Riesling.
Even though "Jacobs Creek Wines" are created at "Orlando Winery" just up the road at Rowland Flat the Visitor Centre has something for everyone and is a must see in the Barossa.
You could allow a half day here to explore and then stay for lunch or coffee! Highly recommended.

“A Highlight in the Barossa”
Reviewed October 3, 2013

This is a very commercial operation, but one that is a credit to the area and to the wine industry itself.

Tastings offered at a bar separate to the restaurant. Waiting time to taste can be slow due to the popularity of the place for locals and tourists and tourist buses.

Restaurant offers some wonderful dishes, all cooked to perfection. Not cheap, but well worth the visit

“Cellar door Fiano & a great lunch”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

As lovers of Fiano it was a joy to find that Jacob's Creek offer this wine as a "cellar door" only in the Barossa Valley. After wine-tasting enjoy a great lunch in the dining room and then walk along Jacob's creek and do some bird-watching.

“A very clean experience.”
Reviewed July 3, 2013 via mobile

This winery is worth a visit but is like visiting an airport lounge! The building has no character and you are better off visiting other wineries in the barossa!
