We stayed at this resort for 2 nights being a gift from our daughters.
The view from the rooms is great with vineyards, trees and birds and in the afternoon at sunset the hills in the background look lovely with sun and dark spots. We had the buffet breakfast included and there is a good of variety of food. You can also sit out on the balcony of that area but the time we were there it was quite windy.
We had dinner in the restaurant on one night and the selection there was good. We found it is necessary to book the restaurant when you arrive or when booking as it is very popular.
The staff were very efficient especially Diane and Samantha at breakfast and Tom at dinner . There is a golf course adjoining the resort as well as tennis courts, archery, outdoor large chess and a swimming pool and a room for a wedding reception so with the accomodation is an ideal place to stay as a family, couples or even a wedding guest.
The garden is in the process of being revamped.

We spent 2 night here for a quick getaway after 4 failed attempts to get to Bali. Bloody volcano!!! The resort is nice, the pool was quiet and easy to get a lounge and the staff are all friendly. The rooms are a little small, but they have a nice balcony overlooking magnificant lansdcapes. We even saw a kangaroo hop past in the morning. Overseas guests would be amazed. So good so far and then you reach for wine glasses and find 2, drinking glasses, 2, plates 2, coffee cups 2. Nothing in the mini bar other than the milk and $6 waters. No wifi unless you want to pay through the nose for it and it's cheaper to book through Bookings.Com than be an Accor member and book. 5 star NO, Good yes. Not average, but not very good.

Room tip: all rooms have great views

Dear GaryJ5125,

Thank you, It is always a pleasure to receive positive and constructive feedback. I will share your comments with our team. I am sure that this feedback will serve as an encouragement to all of our staff as we strive to continuously improve the quality of our services.

I am truly sorry about the Mini Bar not in the room, we have removed all mini bars due to a consensus of the past years comments and feedback as Guest would rather utilize the space for the local products in which they have purchased from the local area. Thant is why we have a 24hr mini bar menu in the rooms as well as vending machines in the foyer. I know this does not help you now, but I am again truly sorry this was not communicated to you during your stay.

I do hope you do give us another opportunity and will visit us again when your travels next bring you to the Barossa and please don't hesitate to contact the Hotel, so that we can personally ensure you enjoy a seamless and hassle-free experience on your next stay.

Warm Regards,

Sarah Henderson

We stayed at the Novotel for 3 nights and loved every minute of it. The views from the room were outstanding. The pool area was wonderful. Restaurant food was amazing, great wine selection. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and were made to feel very special with some extra treats. The staff were all very friendly and offered great advice and suggestions for the local area. I really would recommend as THE place to stay in Barrosa.

This hotel is not bad....more of a 4 star but with very few facilities. It's location is gorgeous...the views from every room are stunning. The food in the restaurant is very good.

The big let down is the shower water pressure......there is none! It is the worst shower I have ever had. I hate rain showers because it is too difficult to wash out shampoo, but this bathroom also had a handheld option.....which was a waste of time, there is simply not enough pressure to get really wet or soak all the way through hair.

Room tip: All rooms are good, but I assume all showers are bad...

This resort would be 5 star if there was sound proofing between rooms as the walls must be thin. We have stayed twice and once there was no one (or someone quiet and respectful) next to us and it was so lovely and peaceful, and the next time we had scum guests, the type that are that dumb they don't even know how noisy and stupid they sound (decent people know the type) and it wasn't relaxing at all. Views from room are nice, the restaurant was great and staff were nice.

Dear Ben V,

Thank you for your review! I am happy that you were satisfied about your experience. It is great that you enjoyed our location of the hotel. I hope you also took advantage of the facilities we offer.

Unfortunately there are people who are inconsiderate and who do spoil a hotel experience for others. I apologise if this did distract you from having what could have been a great break away, though I can reassure you your comments of the noise from the rooms and walkways has been passed on to our Operations Manager to develop an action plan with our Focus group to look at a possible way to minimise the noise.

Thank you again for sharing your experience, and we hope your next visit will be as pleasant as the previous one.

Warm Regards,

Sarah Henderson
