We had a wonderful time at this Hotel. The outlook from our room was so great we could have stayed in the room the whole time!
I am interested in one of the reviews about cleanliness - I found our room very clean.
I couldn't fault anything - very comfortable bed, very well appointed room and amenities - friendly staff - and great golf course a stone's throw away.
It was also great to have kitchen amenities if one wanted to eat in.
I recommend this hotel to everyone.

Room Tip: All rooms appeared to have a great outlook - just depends on how far you want to walk as to whether...

Have returned to this hotel every time we have been in the Barossa and will certainly be back again.
Location is excellent, centrally located in the valley.
Really like the takeaway / Room Service menu, much more imaginative that the usual offers of room service. Its a great way to enjoy a special wine (or two) you may have bought from a cellar door.
Also full marks to the staff, everyone I dealt with were very friendly and helpful, often hard to have such a consistent standard across all staff.
Rooms are a little tired but can be overlooked by enjoying the view!

We stayed here recently for 4 people 2nights mid week. It was very affordable and service was top notch. The best part of staying is the full buffet breakfast which you can even tell the staff how exactly to cook your eggs and it's as easy as done! The room setup was great, bedrooms not too close together. Fantastic shower, bathroom and kitchen facilities. Couch was not exactly comfortable but the beds made up for it. The pool looked great even though we didn't get to use it and the view of the wine fields were very homely and serene. Overall, a very lovely spot to visit and an enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Try staying mid week - prices are much better then

This is the equivalent of a 5 star hotel in price. The outside area was not cleaned for the time we stayed there and there was thick sediment on the table. Next door, the occupants had a very mouldy shower and shower curtain. My room service lunch was in a plastic container inside a paper bag without even a serviette. My beetroot Gnocchi (dinner) was under cooked and inedible. Although I was not charged for this, it should not have happened.

Thank you for posting a review of your stay at the Novotel Barossa Valley Resort on Trip Advisor. Your feedback and where well received.

I am sorry the price paid did not represent value. Our prices fluctuate to the market demands, weekends being the busiest time. I would encourage you to visit mid week when our prices are heavily discounted to entice travellers.

It is important that our guests receive a high standard of service during their stay at the resort, I am sorry to learn that we did not deliver these standards on this occasion. Rest assured that we shall address the issues you encountered and take the steps necessary to ensure your experience remains an isolated incident.

We hope to welcoming you back to Novotel in the future.

Spent last night at the wonderful Barossa Novotel Resort. What a wonderful place. The rooms were absolutely superb. They were very modern and beautifully done out. The grounds looked excellent. The Swimming pool was beautiful and much appreciated in the heat of the afternoon. The Restuarant catered beautifully with superb meals and excellent service. From the time that my wife and I booked in we were treated like royalty. The staff at reception could not have been more helpful or welcoming. The staff in the Restuarant at dinner and in the morning where we had a sumptuous breakfast were welcoming and very helpful. The whole experience made our wedding anniversay very special, and we would have no reservations in recommending this wonderful establishment to anyone who would love to be treated extremely special.

Location and rooms are fantastic. Enjoyed the early morning walk along the river to see the birds and having coffee overlooking vineyards. However checkout was slow and painful so too with purchasing from the shop - over 20 mins to purchase just a few items and as I watch now the queue for checkout is up to 8 people with one person serving. Also get ready for the credit card sting - yep it's a hotel that has a surcharge for credit card.
