An engineering beauty. Its huge its long and its acting both as a vehicle bridge and water barrage. The place has a selfie point and small garden near it.

This barrage across river Mahanadi is situated in Jobra area of Cuttack town. It connects Cuttack town with the north side of the river .Jagatpur and National highway ( Chennai - Howrah ) can be easily accessed by going to the east, and Chowdwar - Anugul - Sambalpur on the west. Great place to view the flow of the river particularly in the rainy season when the gates of the Hirakud dam are opened. You can also try your hand in fishing from the barrage and if lucky can catch few.Since it is situated near the Maritime Museum this can be combined with it for a group visit.

The barrage presents a nice view as well as a picnic spot. The air coming from the river offers a soothing feeling.
