Stayed here early September. It's a beautiful, secluded spot with great views. Staff very friendly but only issue I had was that the wood in the cabin could do with a clean as we found it very dusty and a few cobwebs.

We really do try and catch all the cobwebs during cleaning but at this time of the year the spiders sometimes win if we don't get them too! They are looking for a place to spend the winter and a cosy lodge is just perfect. So sorry that you found them but glad it didn't spoil your stay with us. Hope to see you again soon. Jan X

Stayed here for 4 nights in september 2012 in a brilliant 5* cabin that had a four poster bed, superb jacuzzi, sauna and a hot tub. What else could you ask for! Very nicely furnished with every comfort you could think of. Surrounding countryside provides lots of walks and rambles and coming back to a hot tub was just simply gorgeous! A lovely wood burner in the corner although we did not use it as the cabin was lovely and cosy. The decor is very soothing and very tasteful and to a high standard. We stayed in a cabin that allowed dogs and you can tell that all who stayed in here before also cherished and looked after everything as if it were their own. Not the usual second class left over furnishings just because you have a dog. We ate in every night as we had such a well equipped kitchen it was hard to drag ourselves away from all these comforts so cannot comment on local restaurants but they all had good write ups. The local area had lots of Yorkshire moor charm and wildlife was in abundance in our lodge area. We booked thru HoeSeasons online who were very easy to deal with. The main town of Ilkley moor was not far away with lots of shops and a good selection of walks start there including the cows lick rock which was a good trek amongst some of the walks we tried after getting some good maps from the local tourist centre in Ilkley. If you do stay here take flip flops and a towel wrap for the hot tub, plenty of wine, walking boots and books - such a relaxing joy.

We stayed here in Serenity 2 for the first week in August and it was great. Check in was brilliant, so friendly and helpful, we were blown away by the tranquility and surroundings of the park. As others have said before, it can be a little tricky to find and not ideal if you have a sports car, the lane you travel up is very tight and full of gravel but we got used to it in the end. The lodge itself was lovely and cosy, for sure one of the best positions on the park up on the hill the views are stunning. You are not overlooked whatsoever. A nice half bottle of bubbly, choccies and welcome was a nice touch we thought, we were very happy with the lodge. The only small grumble I had(and it is small) I think the kitchen could do with a deep clean, the cooker in particular as I discovered a lot of grease in the hood which was dripping off but this was not a drama at all, you are given some cleaning products so I quick clean and it was fine. Another very small point would be new pillows on the bed they were a little worn and thin, but having said tha twe found the bed very comfortable indeed and it was lovely waking up in the morning to those views. I cannot understand some previous comments about them being tiny and uncomfortable!

We had many trips out and about discovering the area, it is in a beautiful part of the country. Unfortunately on our first day the area suffered a power cut which affected the park and lodges. It ended up being off most of the day which didnt effect us as we were out and about but it was really nice to be looked after and kept informed by the staff. A huge thank you to Sandy who came to re-set a few things in our lodge and made sure everything was ok.

The hot tub is the real star of the lodge and fantastic at night. We were often visited by two horses behind our lodge, several rabbits and tabby the cat! Just magical.

I would highly recommend this park to anyone in need of a break and just want total relaxation in amazing surroundings. You are truly looked after here so dont delay and give Jan a ring, you won't regret staying here!

Serenity 2 has the most fantastic views from the lodge and the hot tub which looks out across open countryside from its elevated position. We have noted your comments re cleaning issues with our team and changed the pillows although we do try and provide a range as they are such a personal choice. Hope to see you back again for another relaxing stay with us. Jan X

Excellently set roundwood lodges in a beautiful part of Yorkshire.
The staff at Fawether couldnt be more helpful..Jan and Sandy went to great lengths to ensure we enjoyed our stay, I couldnt rate this place highly enough! I know all the previous reviews speak of the hot tubs, but honestly the views from these are priceless and each is so private.
My only niggle would be to say the bathroom was slightly 'tired' and could benefit from a facelift.
That said, I will make a return to Fawether Grange next year without hesitation!

This was our first 'log cabin' holiday as we normally go abroad so we were a little apprehensive about what to expect. After looking on Faweathers website we booked through hoseasons - choosing the 'serenity 2'. We like a bit of luxury and as a couple with no children wanted peace and quiet.

After heavy traffic we arrived 1.5hrs later than expected to be greeted by a friendly face and warm welcome (I believe her name to be Debbie.) The lady helped us load our millions of shopping bags and luggage onto her buggy and drove us to the bottom of our 27 steps and then helped us into our lodge! A totally unexpected service but extremely helpful and appreciated.

We believe we had picked the best log cabin on the site - we were at the top of a hill so it felt very private with gorgeous views. The whole sites grounds were lovely and wildlife was plentiful, even got a visit from a little stripey cat! Each lodge is placed so you cannot see other guests - we could see down onto the lodge below us - their kitchen window was in view but it wasnt a problem at all although a little well placed extra tree or bush would probably make it even better. On our last day the guests in that cabin were playing music outside, I think the wind was making it seem louder so that was slightly annoying but by the time we wanted to use the hot tub in peace they had gone indoors anyway so it worked out well!

Our log cabin was plenty big enough for the two of us - in fact just the right size - very cosy. Had everything we needed, even a little dishwasher but we never actually used it! We didnt need to use the log burner as the weather was pleasant during our stay. I would love to come back when the weather is a little cooler although im not sure how we would get down sconce lane if it snowed??!!

There were great little extra touches to this place...relaxing music as we walked in, bucks fizz and ferrero rochers waiting for us, handwash and lotion in the bathroom, guest books to write your comments and view others, tonnes of information on nearest eating places, take-a-ways, emergency numbers, general information on Faweather Grange and lots of maps and places to visit! A few dvds/cds, one log, teatowel, 2 dishwasher tablets, fluffy super white towels, 2 rolls toilet tissue. All very helpful! Each lodge also gets a designated parking spot in the car park so no fighting for spaces!

The things we liked best about this holiday were the hot tub and sauna! It was so relaxing sitting in the hot tub looking at the countryside, watching the rabbits, horses and aeroplanes! On our last night we went out there in the dark and put the lights on in it, with our bottle of bubbles and chocolates it was amazing! Only used the sauna once, wish we had used it more as it was better than expected warming up to a good temperature! It was such a laugh making my boyfriend put a face mask on only to look like an umpa lumpa as it was orange! :oD

Overall, we had a great 3 nights away, very relaxed and are so unhappy to be home! We will definitely be back either later this year or early next and will be recommending to friends and family.

If I have to give any feedback it would be... the serenity 2 could do with cleaning a little more thorough - the toilet was a bit stained in the bottom, the mirror in the bedroom was smeared and the vase on the table needed a wipe. Also the wall behind the sink in the bathroom had the odd bits of splatted toothpaste dots on it...and im not sure about the log walls...a review on here said the walls were dusty...and they did look a little dusty yes but on trying to wipe my fingers accross the 'dust' it didnt actually come off! Maybe its just to do with the wood!

Outside the cabin could do with a good sweep to get rid of cobwebs (I hate spiders!) and dead leaves. The cleaners need to get in the corners a bit more!! I think the lodge is getting a little tired...sofas faded (sunshine? cannot be helped), a few of the plastic utensils were beginning to show signs of wear, the chairs outside looked worn. Expect a bit more cleanliness from a 'signature award winning property' so would probably give it 4 stars not 5. I know feedback is important and I just want Faweather to keep up the good work as I want to return!!
...These are very minor problems, the lodge was clean enough and very comfortable and cosy...and I am fussy!! Do not let these few points put you off booking!! Theres far too many plus points such as the immaculate crisp bed linen and towels to think about these small things and you only have to read other reviews on here to know this! I am already looking at booking again...!

Room Tip: All log cabins have a great location but Serenity 2 probably has the best views, however there are 2...

Firstly, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay in Serenity 2. Secondly, I really appreciate your review of Serenity 2 and constructive feedback and have noted your comments regarding some minor cleaning issues for which we apologise and will address with our cleaning team. Just for your information -when it snows the park is beautiful (we keep the lane clear of snow to ensure access) but a snowy day/night spent in a cosy lodge with a log burner and a sauna and a hot tub to sit in and look at the glistening snow at night isn't so hard to bear!

Hope to see you again soon. Jan X
