We have stayed in some special places during our holiday to India, but the Homestead has to be top of the list.Bunny and Amu are an amazing couple who do all in their power to make your stay perfect.Due to their philanthropy in employing staff who have had a difficult past, the service has to be believed. From Bobby their Manager to the night watchman you only have to think you want something, when it magically arrives without warning.
Dinner in the garden around the fire is unforgettable, and having developed a very warm relationship with Bunny and Amu,they took us for a drive for miles into the jungle in their Willey's jeep to visit some nomads who had settled there.Bunny had made friends with them some years ago,and it was a very humbling experience. The place was immaculate with houses built of mud and thatch and not a spot of dirt anywhere. We were made very welcome even though they weren't expecting us,and the children were charming.Unforgettable.David and Lesley Whipp.Honiton.Devon

We were a bunch of 5 moms and 7 kids (all between 4 and 7 years, and all living purely urban lives). Kids had great fun getting exposed to country life - hens and chicks, lichi and mango orchards, sugarcane and wheat fields, and a really dark night sky with lots of sparkling stars! Moms had a perfectly relaxed time with kids playing in a safe environment, swimming in the pool, exploring the tree house, jumping on the trampoline, and crossing the rope bridge. The staff was very caring and the food so delicious, it felt unreal. We decided to forego the jungle trip and the picnic on the river; kids were having so much fun at the Homestead and we had only 2 full days to make the most of our time. We are definitely going there again and with more days at hand.

“Love begins at home, and it is not how much we do... but how much love we put in that action.”
Best describes the homestead and Bunny / Amu who nurture it and care for it like it were their child.
My son and I visited it during the Dusherra holidays in 2011, and had a fabulous time.
From the drive in the trailer, the sunset safari in the jungle, to the rustic bullock cart ride. Swimming in the pool, lolling in the Jacuzzi, admiring the flowers and just lying on the hammock, watching the ducks, a truly reeeeelaxed holiday.
Their personal touch and attention to details make you feel an instant connection with them. The special picnic planned to the river, the trip to the silver shop in the market, the Sunday bazar, my personalized itinerary!!!
Their daughter Arati organized for the children to make an eco friendly Ravan, complete with 10 heads, talwars, gaddas etc. It was the perfect way to break the ice amongst all the children.
Watching TV in their den, one feels so comfortable that automatically without realizing, one has put ones foot up on the sofa and is humming along with music playing from the hi tech ‘Bose system’.
What is fascinating about the place, is the constant additions that happen on every return. The new tented accommodation, the trailer room, the telescope with which you can view the rings of Saturn and Uncles latest pride – Tom Dick and Harry, the 3 new ATV’s!!!One can only imagine and look forward to the next visit.
If one looks in the dictionary for the meaning of hospitality you will probably find “Bunny and Amu” next to it. The food, the service the warmth is impeccable and lingers on with you like your favorite perfume.

“A house is made of walls and beams; a home is built with love and dreams”. Which is exactly what one experiences at the homestead.
