“Natural Waterfall.. Mismanaged by forest department.”
Review of Corbett Falls

Corbett Falls
Reviewed June 25, 2014

After leaving from Corbett to Nainital we came across this waterfall and on a vacation trip excited to give it a try.
LOCATION : deep inside the jungle just 2 kms from the main road, conditions of road not good, no ample parking space seeing the large number of tourists. The forest department charges 50 Rs as entrance fee.
There's a lot of humidity which makes it difficult to walk even 100 meters for elders and kid's.
After reaching the spot you feel good although it's a small platform with so many tourists to accommodate. The falls height is approx 20 meters. Bathing is restricted. You can take photos. The concerned authorities only know how to extract money from tourists they hardly bother on maintenance and cleanliness.

The waterfalls themselves may not be outstanding but are quite pretty and very close to the Park and are nice place to sit and relax. The walking paths take you right to the waterfall, and if you are able to climb some rocks you make it onto an outcrop that makes you feel like you're in the middle of it all. Bathing is now Prohibited.
Surrounding was full of Empty bottles, Wrappers, definitely lot of visitors.

Corbett Water Falls, 20m high fall, is situated 25km from Ramnagar on Kaladhungi road. Walk or drive your vehicle approx. 2km through thick teak wood jungles inside is an out of the world experience. The best thing all along has been the chirpings of birds in the background and sound of flowing water. Bathing is not allowed. You have to walk around 200m if you are in with a vehicle. Corbett Museum is around 5km from here.
