The whole island is soo breathtakingly beautiful that no matter where you stay, it would feel like a piece of paradise! We stayed in Ao Noi Resort in december 2011. Lovely and cozy place with spacious room, sea facing balcony, hot water facility and air conditioner. Though each cottage looks like a straw made hut, the cottages are actually made of wood and brick inside. If you are in Koh Kood, it is preffered to dine at the restaurant of your resort as you cant access other resorts without taxi..and taxi is something which can be arranged only through your hotel reception! I we have been to some other recommended places, but ultimately found the food is actually better in Ao Noi restaurant. The breakfast is simple-english breakfast with fresh fruit juices and tea/coffee/ovaltine...works for me.

The beach is really good, specially the long pier is truly unforgettable...But tide comes in the morning and it is not as calm as the beach near Tingkerbell or Neverland resort..but it is also calm anyway, Ao Noi resort has made so many interesting relaxing places on the beach to enjoy the beach.

If you are there, insist on having a beach front villa/cottage. Have a happy stay!!

Room tip: If you are there, insist on having a beach front villa/cottage. They will say that all rooms are sea facing but there is difference between beach front and sea facing locations as you cant clearly see the sea from all sea-facing rooms. Have a happy stay!!

This was the best trip I've taken in years!

Ao Noi Resort got everything right. The beach was beautiful, with white, fine sand, lounges and hammocks and not many people! Water is very clear and warm. You can even see the fish as they swim around you... We went the first three days in January, 2012, during peak season, too.

Food provided in package was superb -and much better than we expected. Lots of authentic Thai cuisine and tons of fresh seafood - with generous portions enough for the entire family. This resort seems to cater to the Thai tourist, so perhaps that is why the food was so good!

Activities are few enough to break up the day, but not too touristy or geared toward other sales commissions like most "package" tours have. Don't expect too many activities to do while there ... snorkling, kayaking, and swimming -but that is exactly what we came for.

Recommend skip the waterfall, unless you just want a little hike to burn off some of the great food you consumed beforehand!

The kayacks and snorkeling were included in package and not to be missed -but kayak was not part of the daily scheduled activities and must be used in your own free time.

We stayed in the villa, which had hot water and air conditioning as well as mosquito nets over the beds. I believe all huts had mosquito nets, though.

The room, food, and staff were superlative. They cater to to the comfort of the customer with expected Thai courtesy and always with the trademark Thai smiling demeanor.

This resort does not have WiFi access at present. Cell phone reception waa okay at the resort, however.

We can't wait to return!

Room tip: recommend villa - just a bit more but air conditioning at night will ensure a sound sleep!

The location is excellent! Very beautiful! Not the best beach in Koh Kood, mainly because the tide comes in quite a lot for most of the day, but when it's out is quite enjoyable. We got an aircon room, there was a view of the power lines from our balcony which was ruining the view. I'd say opt for fan, it's cheaper and the aircon is set to 25 anyway so you barely notice it. We felt quite isolated and out of place here as it seemed like more of a resort for holidaying Thais. You can hire a motorbike and go exploring which is a plus. I'd highly recommend going to the Italian pizza place not far from Ao Noi, so good!!!!! Overall it's okay, but there are better places to stay on the island!

3rd December - Compare to other hotels/resort, this resort has its own beach right in front. The beach is beautiful and clear water. Makes you want to jump in all the time. On the right side of the beach, there are sands and rocks, where u can snorkle and see a couple of fishes. On the left side of the pier, mostly are sands and crystal clear where u want to jump right in for a swim, For those that are adventourous, they can go up the pier and jump down....
About the room - the room is pretty basic. I stayed in Villa 4 where they can cater for four people. It's just a room with beds and not bad for a toilet. Air cond can only be turn on after 4pm and likewise hot water usage its after 4pm to 8am (if not mistaken). There are no fridge or tv in the room. So after 8pm which the kitchen is closed, you probably want to spent time at the pier. The atmosphere is nice with the gushing waves. Villa 4 for 4 person is slightly away from the beach nevertheless its a few minutes walk. The two to a room is right in fron of the beach.
Dinner - depending on what you are ordering, i would say its still rather cheap. Not top notch cook but i give an average 5/10 or 6/10. Good i would day.
Breakfast - They prepared american breakfast for us and unlimited of toasted bread plus cofee milo and tea.
Night time - unless you are riding a bike, you basically cant walk to anywere .the distance from the resort to the main road its about 800m and its not advisable to walk all the way out as its dark and litted lights along the path way. quite a distance from one another but just nice. its dark n quiet thats why i do not advise to walk out.
Pricing - i paid about 3650baht (around there, cant remember the actual figure). I guess we are paying more of the ambience then the room.

Room tip: Get the two bedder and request for beach front.
