Came for 2 days, stayed 10! Blissful beach, my lofty bungalow was only a hop away with a balcony facing the sea.. You couldn't get much closer really. Still had a nice screen of trees for privacy and shade though.
Loved the rustic simplicity of the building and my open-air garden bathroom. Old Lamp was the perfect hideaway to unwind. The restaurant food was also very tasty, I rarely ate anywhere else. (Try the homemade muesli or Tom Ka soup.. )
A peaceful quiet place to rest and recuperate in the forest. There is a lot of shade provided by the natural bush around the bungalows which keeps the temperature inside pleasantly cool.
Bars for socialising were a short stroll away if you felt the need.
The very kind family that run the place always make sure everyone felt welcome and taken care of. The beach is narrow a high tide but walking along the coastline discovering other places was a favourite activity. The staff almost all speak English well and are happy to offer advice and directions and book onward travel for you.
Koh Jum was a slice of heaven.. And my time here is one of my fondest memories.More
