Via a small dirt road you get to this fantastic hideaway! Friendly staff, Nice food and great views. Yes there are ants, occasional bug, monkeys, but you’re in Thailand in an affordable resort, what do you expect.... I would come back, for sure.

The hotel is located remote and beatifully on the hillside. The beach is good but of course be aware of the tide. Because the beach dissappears at high tide and is very big at low tide, it is nice to have the pool as an alternativ. The pools are unfortunately not that well maintained and, maybe because we visited in low season, the lowest of the two pools was dirty and the access way was broken.
We stayed in a teaked house. The bath plugh did not fit so we asked for a new one, which fitted marginally better. It was impossible to fill the bathtub. The temperatur of the water was either very hot or plain cold, nothing inbetween.

Great for peace and quiet and the mild experience of jungle.

Very nice hotel for those who want relaxation without the hustle and bustle.
You get there by boat from Krabi and come to live with nature and close to the water.
The hotel itself is nice and clean and nice in both rooms and common areas.

Considering that it is an island, the prices are ok in the restaurant a little more than on the mainland but fair.

However, be aware that there is no supermarket attached, and there are only small kiosks around island, the nearest cost approx. 200bah to be driven to by taxi. So a bag of beverages and necessities can be recommended.
If you like
Quiet surroundings with nature's whims close by
The sound of the sea and animals, only disturbed by some noise from both occasionally.
a place where it is only possible to relax and unwind.
Then Kohjum resort is the place for you.

If you don't like / miss the following

If you don’t like, Various small animals in the room beetles and similarly, there will be some in your, but it is there that will not be sprayed as they retain nature, and the insects not dangerous.
If you don’t like A little noise at night from animals such as cats, monkeys, geckos, and other animals outside
If you not can eat without getting pork on your trip.
If you want an active holiday with full speed on
Then it is not recommended to go KohJum resort, and maybe not go Kohjum

We had some great days here. The staff is really friendly and the restaurant is very well run, the food is also really good. At night they set up tables on the sand, light candles etc. We loved that! We had a ac bungalow with view of the beach. On the booking site the bungalow looked more luxurious than it turned out to be. It was fine, but the price should be lower to reflect the quality. At high tide the swimming was great, with lovely, clear water. At low tide you can’t swim at all, and the water gets really murky. The swimming pool was unfortunately also pretty murky, and we didn’t go in at all as the water didn’t look clean.

The location is the one big advantage of this resort. We stayed in one of the bamboo bungalows. Small and without air con, but with soft bed by thai standards, a minifridge, and an amazing view from the balcony. The reception, restaurant and bar areas appear slightly old and a bit run down. Breakfast is ok, but quite basic. Lunch and dinner is better, but not much above average. The beach is very nice, but due to rocks the water is only good for swimming at high tide.
