Good Value Stay would use again

3.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Mar 9, 2013
I paid 580Baht a night for 2 nights, You get a room and the door opens onto a public area almost like an apartment rather than a hotel with the lift in the middle, The room was dated and needed a bit of a clean, But for Isaan standards it was alright and it was Breakfast included which was better than some much more expensive places I have stayed, Free Wifi was available but seemed to switch of at 11pm. The Staff where nice and I would say it is the best of the bunch of 3 hotels in the immediate area.

They have a coffee shop and their are plenty of places to eat within walking distance and plenty of parking to.

Get a room on a higher floor as noise from downstairs reception and desk go up as it is an open build no ceiling between floors in the middle.

This hotel was pretty ok for the money. Paid 1,000 baht per night and stayed for 2 night for a wedding party. The rooms were actually quite nice for the money but the rest of the hotel was fairly dated and could do with updating. Lots of empty plates and glasses left outside in the corridors for hours on end. If they improved on some of the simple things this could be a very nice hotel. But at the end of the day if you are staying in this area i doubt there is a much better hotel to be had

We stayed here for 2 nights. We did stay in a executive suite which from what i know was one of the better rooms in the hotel.

the shower was cold, the toilet didnt look like it had been cleaned in 6 months and the beds as hard as anything. The air conditioning worked very well so that is a positive in such a hot place of thailand

I know its a regional hotel and not downtown bangkok where the standards are better but the staff need help learning how to clean etc as i found it quite disgusting to stay here.

We did go down to the pool the first day and before i knew it i had to go back to the room as the vile smell coming from around the pool area or garbage or raw sewage was too over powering.

breakfast was mostly suited to the local thais with some local specialties.... for the westerners there was toast or eggs really only to choose from. if you want coffee/tea forget asking for milk as they dont have it!

there is little other choice for hotels in roi et and from whan i gather this is the best of the bad bunch.

At around £10 a night this place is OK. Staff were friendly. Service and food OK. I only smelt rubbish on 1 of the 7 days I stayed here. It's a hot country and smells are common place. It has two large conference venues attached and hundreds if not thousands of people are on site each day. There is also a small market but not that interesting. Pool seemed clean enough but this place could do with a deep clean and a running repair programme to bring it up to its potential.

We just spent 4 nights here.
I will start with what was good at this Hotel because its easier.
1. The internet, (wi-fi), was the best I have experienced in any Hotel in Thailand.
2. The air-conditioning was also as good as any I have had in any Hotel.
Now the bad bits of staying here.
1. The smell at the swimming pool from the rubbish being piled up near there and the smell of grease was the worst smell I have experienced at any Hotel anywhere in the world. You could not only not use the pool but if you stayed out there in that area you would have been physically sick. The smell was over powering to say the very least. Please see photos. We spoke to another guest and he said it had been that way for days. On day 2 of our stay we spoke to staff and they blamed council. On day 3 we asked for the Manager. She stated the same which I do not accept. I think the Hotel should have done whatever to get rid of the rubbish and smell so guests could use this outdoor area on what was a very hot period. They did nothing. Finally as we were checking out I had a look and found it all gone. However they had so over clorinated the pool to hide the smell that you wouldn't want to swim in it anyway.
2. The place is very run down. There are broken tiles in the main lobby area, paint spills on the floors and it looks like there has been no maintenance carried out since it opened. This hotel is very dirty. It needs proper cleaning by trained cleaning staff.
3. The table clothes in the dinning room look like they haven't been washed since day one.
4. The food at breakfast is very poor. Even though it was included in the room cost we only ate there twice and ate out the last two mornings. The coffee is disgusting.
5. As a previous reviewer has stated if you can get a hot shower without burning yourself your extremely lucky. It was either so hot or stone cold. Most of the time cold.
6. The staff are very lazy. Lots just stand around and talk. No wonder the place is so run down.
7. As you enter the room and look out the window you see rubbish piled up everywhere. See photos. Management are so lazy here to allow this to happen and of course laziness flows through staff.

I would never stay here again. I would sooner sleep in my car.
We checked out another Hotel but sadly it was fully booked otherwise we would have checked out and moved. It looks a million times better and is spotlessly clean with a great pool. The rooms are very nice. We will stay there in future and its listed here on this website but under "other accommodation". Could someone please move the Thanintorn Green Park to the main Hotel listings please. We consider this Hotel to be the best in Roiet by a country mile.
