Worn out

2.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Jan 24, 2012
I stayed here out of necessity, as the choice of hotels in this city are limited.
after 2 days I tried another hotel, there was nothing to chose between the two.

Petcharat, is cheap but the rooms are just so dingy and dirty, the shower was awful and I could not get a constant supply of hot water, it went from boiling to freezing, so you had to have precision timing to avoid getting burnt or frozen.

The Breakfast here really does only cater for thai visitors, and even then don't expect the food to be hot, tepid is the order of the day, and yes they did make me some scrambled eggs.

I do not like coffee mate in my tea, and asked for fresh milk, they produced tined milk and then charged me for the tin, well I was not best pleased with that move.

Sorry but this hotel is on my list of "must avoid at all cost"

bad service, cold food, total lack of anything good.

This place needs a total overhaul, and it is held together by sticking plaster, stop patching the place up and make it look nice like it was 30 years ago.

So what if this place isn't a five star hotel! If it were we couldn't afford to stay there and enjoy the great service and amenities if it were! This place is a great deal for the money, and the lake and park in the center of town make for a great place to get some exercise or just relax and enjoy!

Room just average, just about clean enough but there were long hairs on the bed. Bathroom below par, mouldy and old fittings. Pool area quite nice with reasonable food served. We had a room with a connecting door. Unfortunately there was a party of ladyboys staying in there so it was quite noisy. Avoid the rooms with connecting doors. The included breakfast was poor. Next time in Roi-Et I will stay somewhere else.

This is an excellant alternative to the more expensive hotels in town.
A double here goes for 580Baht per night, is reasonably sized and has all the amenities
of comparable 3 Star hotels in Thailand. The buffet breakfast is fair to middling.
On the plus sides are an excellant swimming pool of unusual shape set in a peaceful
garden area with a full time lifeguard. Food, cold drinks and snacks are available all day.
Also , next door to the hotel is a lively pub which boasts a big screen TV for all the sports junkies and serves tasty Thai and Isaan food until late at night.
The hotel is serviced by a stream of samlors, but the city centre is close enough that walking is an alternative.
All in all, excellant value for the price and well worth a try.

Definitely NOT 5 star Hotel. Appears not to have changed since the 70's.
Pool appeared to be nice but crowded with locals.
Restaurant was like a conference hall, where staff ran away when you approaced them.
Its OK for 1 night if your in the Area exploring, and its Cheap.
