Kind reception, very spacy rooms with table and chairs, bathroom with powerful hot! water. Chumlong is the Food and Beverage Manager in the restaurant, which offers exquisite JAPANESE Food. (Moderate prices). Ask for him, he can tell you everything about that area. Don't miss this hotel, when you come to visit Bang Fai Rocket Festival. And don't forget a reservation for your room!
To the compound belongs a Gym and a big pool covered by a roof (so not too hot, excellent).
Take a corner site room with 2 balconys. You can go by foot to the city (300m) to enjoy the festival with dances and beauty contest.

Room Tip: corner site with 2 balconys

We stayed at the green park hotel in Yasothon for 3 nights staying in a VIP Room. The room was a corner room with 2 balcony windows, The room was very big and decorated nicely and the bathroom was very modern to.
We Paid 900 Baht per night and this was the most expensive hotel that we booked in Isaan.
My only gripe and i will say this about the other 3 hotels that we used in isaan, why can you not supply a Safe in the room, this meant that we had to store our laptop at the front desk, Like all hotels that we stayed in, All belongings left in the hotel are left at the owners risk, I would say that the hotel has a duty of care for their guests and there belongings.
Regarding the Reception area, It had a good few mosquitoes flying around, I think the Thai people just get use to them.
All guests had use to the gym and pool which was sort of a indoor pool minus the walls.
they had a restaurant that catered for the Thai and had a selection of Japanese food, But we opted to walk about 3 minutes and to the right of the hotel there is a bar that caters for the young Thai people but done great food and cheap drink, plus good entertainment.

regarding the hotel, i think for the price, they could have thrown in a breakfast.

Room Tip: High floor, Our hotel room was on the 1st floor and had restricted View

Stayed here with my family and sister and her family fo three nights.

Both of us had family rooms which were clean, spacious and suitably furnished.

Staff very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic to be able to have free use of the pool at the adjoining fitness centre (I don't think there is another public pool in Yasothon).

Didn't use the restaurant so obviously can't comment.

There's a 7-11 a few minutes walk away at the local petrol station if you need any supplies as well as other local shops.

Quite surprising to find a hotel of this quality with such facilities in a small rural Isaan town.

Room Tip: Can definitely recommend the family room.

To me this 2 star is one of the best super clean spacious and comfortable hotels with excellent service and a wonderful restaurant menu. you just cannot go wrong....love this place. you would end up paying 5times more in Melbourne, 4 times more in New Delhi and 2.5 times more in Kuala lumpur but still will not get the wooden hard flooring and super clean cotton bed sheets with double the room size..

I stayed in The Green park Grand and would like to recomend it as this is propably one of the best times my family and I have had in Thailand. Defenatly the best accomondation in the Yasothon area.
The staff provided exelent service our stay, specially like to thank the restaurant manager who
provided special food to us when it was not on the meny.
Nice swimming pool, a bit cold water and open to public, but we enjoyed the oppurtunity to take
a swim during our stay. Nice parking for my rented van and short distance to the city.

Room Tip: Try the Family suite room. It has two double rooms and are spaciouse.

We first visited the Green Park about 3 years ago. Then it was a small hotel offering rooms only. No restaurant, nothing, but it was comfortable and clean, very very clean. Today it is much bigger offering swimming pool, and childs pool, gym and restaurant. The Green Park Terrace Restaurant forms the second half of this report so I will come back to it. Today the rooms are light and airy and clean, very very clean. However there is no directory next to the bedside telephone so in an emergency or just wanting to contact reception, what numbers do you dial??? Its guess work. There is no program guide by the television so what channel do you want?? You just have to search to find out what is available. However for a good nights sleep in a very very clean room, this is the best Yasothon has!!

The Restaurant is ... RUBBISH!! Whoever is in charge has NO IDEA how to run a restaurant. Every evening a friend of the owner turns up to play the piano and sing and sadly he cannot do either very well yet insists on doing so in a very loud way forcing diners to have to shout at each other to be heard.

It boasts of 3, yes 3 menus. A Thai menu with 206 dishes on it, A Japanese menu with 272 dishes on it and a Sushi menu. No, I did not even bother to count the number of dishes on that one. All I know is the vast majority of the dishes are never available. So, having worked up a desire for say the Hot Beef Plate off the menu, I asked the waitress what it was, she disappeard to the kitchen only to return for the menu and after a few minutes returned and told us that it was not available. In the week we stayed there only 3 of the 10 flavours of Ice cream were available and it goes on and on!!! I asked for a dish of Spaghetti, there are 6 different dishes on the menu, NON of them available all the week we stayed there.

The American breakfast comes with bacon which is cold. Just in case someone from Green Park ever reads this, in the west we like our bacon served ... HOT!! The sausage is served .., cold!! In the west we like our sausage served ..... HOT!!! The scrambled eggs come with chpped onion and tomato in it, in the west we like our scrambled eggs to be just that .... EGGS nothing added!!!! And if anyone from Green Park Restaurnt is reading this, please go look at the red table clothes they ALL have grease stains many grease stains on them. Change them, wash them !!!

Room Tip: Sleep hear but do not eat here
