From patnitop, while returning to Jammu we took Batot route so that we can pass through tunnel. It is marvelous and can be described as 8th wonder of the world created by our engineers. It is 9 KM long. It reduced more than one hour journey time & 40-50 KM distance from Jammu to Shrinagar. While visiting that area, one should pass through this tunnel.

An excellent 9 kms tunnel that shows the skills Indian Engineers and workmen have acquired. The tunnel is worth paying visit once to experience the beauty.

The Chennai to Nashri tunnel is truly an engineering marvel.
It is 9 km long dual carriageway on the Jammu Srinagar Highway, reducing the distance between the two cities by 60 Kms.
It incorporates all safety features, is well lit and offers a smooth passage between the two towns.
