This inn was built by the Li's family in 1506 and is located right in the middle of the old town. It has 3 courtyards and at least 12 rooms. We stayed on the upper floor. The room was clean and well furnished with modern amenities. Staff was nice and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was at a cozy cafe that's designed to replicate teahouses of ancient China. They served really good noodles. One thing to note though - the inn does not accept "international credit cards". Payment by cash.
If you are traveling from Chengdu, I would suggest that you take the bus from the northern bus station at Chengdu. Journey time is about 3.5 hours and buses depart every hourly. This may be faster than Chengdu to Nanchong (1hr 40 mins by fastest train), followed by Nanchong to Langzhong (1hr 20 mins by bus) because of the transit waiting time. Moreover, you may not be able to get train tickets from Nanchong back to Chengdu unless you book early. We couldn't.
