“Fabulous!!!!”
Reviewed January 12, 2013

This was my husband and my first trip to Mauritius. We traveled a great distance (from the USA) and although it is a long journey, we were completely impressed with their beautiful resort and the service we received. We can't begin to adequately express our deep appreciation for how well the staff took care of us and make our two week vacation holiday very enjoyable and memorable. We stayed at the Four Seasons Bora Bora during our honeymoon three years ago – and we both agree that the Mauritius property far exceeded our Tahitian experience (which is not an easy feat given the beauty of Bora Bora and that particular resort with its unique bungalows!)
To begin with, Mr. Frederick Serret, Assistant Front Manager was there to greet us upon our arrival. He is a true hospitality professional and there was no request that he handled for us during our stay that went unheeded. He represents the Four Seasons core hospitality values. In addition, Reja Ramsurrun and Ashveena (I apologize not to know her last name), were also very efficient, pleasant and hospitable. The front desk team is the best - and since my husband and I travel a lot internationally we don't usually give this level of praise. Also the concierge’s were great, knowledgeable, and willing to arrange whatever we desired.
The grounds of the resort are incredible – beautiful, well designed and maintained. Simply put - we felt we were in paradise! Kudos to the architects, construction builders and interior designers who created this wonderful resort. The villas are inspiring and offer all modern conveniences – they are well maintained and welcoming. We stayed in an Ocean Villa – loved the plunge pool and easy access to both the lagoon and beaches. Staff was friendly, helpful (without being overbearing) approachable and we really sensed that they wanted us to have a good time – they were perfect hosts.
Another area that earned shining stars for us is the restaurant team, headed by Executive Chef Thierry Papillier. Although Chef Papillier is new to your Mauritius property, he is incredibly innovative and runs an excellent operation with all the restaurants. One evening, he introduced a new five course wine flight menu. Who serves a great main course entrée displayed artfully on the glass of a wood champagne box? Chef Papiller does!
We were totally impressed with this innovative touch. He also joyfully arranged for three cooking classes for my husband at the BeauChamp and Acquapazza Restaurants which were expertly taught by Chefs Geerish Harradan (BeauChamp) and Fabio Quarta (Acquapazza). I’ve never seen my husband, an already excellent chef at home, more excited – and now he is cooking the wonderful Mauritian dishes for me at home. All the restaurants offered a great dining experience at each meal. The wait staff were very responsive and accommodating to special dietary requests.
Usually when we travel abroad, we put on a little extra weight. But not this time. The fitness center with its fantastic 25 meter lap pool and state of the art TechnoGym equipment were put to regular use. We especially appreciate the services of the personal fitness trainer. The complimentary use of the bicycles also made a big difference since we used them to explore the resort. While we did not spend enough time at the Golf course – we plan to do so on our next trip.

All in all – a great experience that we will never forget. Our saddest moment came when we had to leave. We were given a warm and genuine send-off and sentiments were expressed to “come back soon”. Which is exactly what we plan to do for our 5th anniversary in 2 years! Thank you Four Seasons at Anahita Mauritius!

Quite the most spectacular place in the world - others have gone into detail with regards to villas, golf and the food and it is all that and more! The staff are what makes the place so very special and the way they make you feel like you are the only guests that matter -
Our children got lovely little backpacks from the kids club to keep all their things in and we also arranged bicycles before we arrived as it is a lovely way to get around the place with the children who loved the idea of cycling to breakfast or the pool etc. The bicycles come in all sizes with and without training wheels so everyone can be included - It is, without question, our top choice for a family holiday.

Room Tip: The two and three-bedroomed villas are perfect for families and are spectacular!

Enjoyed our 6 day stay. The view and location was amazing. The staff, including the chefs made the stay even better. We would give our freshly caught fish and game to the chefs and they would create delicacies out of thin air. Wonderful experience. Would recommend to everyone!

we've been with my wife at four seasons anahita for one week in the beginning on december 2012 and it was amazing experience. If You just can afford You have to go there. Resort is very clean, rooms are great and cleaned 3 times a day , breakfast is amazing with every possible thing You can imagine for breakfast You can have it- our tip is belgian waffle. Food for lunch and dinner at bamboo and aquapazza restaurant is delicius but pricey ( about twice as much as in nereby le Tousserok which is also 5 star hotel) sunbeds at the beach and pool are real beds and are every time specially prepared for You by staff. views are amazing for lagoon and mountains. Anahita golf course is included for resort guests which is as good as any in the world , i can compare condition to valderrama, and when i write included i mean it, transfer from/to hotel, gps equipped buggies with cold water and wet towel for clubs and dry towels for hands, and ice towel after round for refreshing. practice grounds with 300x200 meters driving range with unlimited new callaway balls and chipping and putting green.Just a heaven on earth especially for golfer.Water ski/wakeboard katamaran snorkelling also included. My wife noticed that there is no view for open ocean , You have a view to big lagoon which i find very nice. In resort transfers also included so You dont have to walk to Your room if Youre tired. So when You count all these its still expensive but not that much as it looks but its definetely worth it.

only one but major problem was that when we booked through concierge a round on le tousserok at 14.00 nobody told us that the boat ( yes the golf course is on nereby island ) goes every hour from 7 am from 5 pm . So at 6 pm afer round we called reception to pick us up and the lady told us sorry but last boat went at 5pm when we asked for additional boat which we were willing to pay for, lady transferred the call to the manager and the manager told us sorry we cant do this, and LEFT US STRANDED ON THE ISLAND !!! we had to bribe 50 euro another boatsmen which was going opposite direction to different hotel to take us to four seasons after he deliver his guests to his hotel. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE ESPECIALLY FOR THIS CLASS OF HOTEL !!! we have an impression that someone before predicted most of the possibilites what guest can request and they provide it but when guest wants something they didnt do before then its a problem i dont think its a philosophy of four seasons hotel

Room Tip: You dont have to pay extra for better view

We spent 1 week at 4S at Anahita which was the best holiday we ever had. The hotel is quite big but very well done so you do not have the impression to be surounded by people. We had a very nice bungalow on "ile aux Chats" which had a direct access to the beach (non the main beach of the hotel which is generally quite full , but on the other side, which was great as empty most of the days).

We took the advantage of golf discovery session offered by the hotel and we loved it so much that we took private lessons every morning during 5 days: the course is just amazing.

The food, is delicious, specially the italian restaurant. The SPA is perfect. The people really nice. We just loved it.

Wow...just amazing! Honeymooners, couples those with families this hotel is worth every penny. Don't think twice about it ....book it.

Positives
# fabulous customer service from start to finish. The staff are superb... They make your stay special. Each and everyone of them will acknowledge you and most by name. It's Unobtrusive and always professional.
# beautiful resort. The villas are well designed offering all mod cons. They are modern, well maintained and welcoming. We really felt at home here. We stayed in an Ocean villa, a beautiful view and 30 seconds to the beach. The bathroom was beautiful with indoor and outdoor showers and no bugs in sight!
# the restaurants are all great. Special thanks to Alessandro in the Italian restaurant for looking after us so well. I can still taste the desserts! Yum, halfboard is a must.
# spa was expensive but beautiful, including the most comfortable massage beds ever.
# loved the L'occitane toiletries in the bathroom
# breakfast was just amazing and a la carte...

Only slight downside was the beach.. It's not real so shallow and rocky. But good for kayaking which is inclusive with your stay. We spent the second half of our stay in the north at Trou Aux Biches which had a Beautiful beach and was more livelier but the service and attention to detail at the Four Seasons is second to none. Having stayed at the Banyan Tree and JW Marriott amongst other hotels I can happily say this was the best.

Well done Four Seasons for another satisfied customer.

The Four Seasons at Anahita is the best hotel we have ever stayed in and we have been lucky enough to stay at two Aman resorts, the Oriental in Bankok, the Mandarin in Hong Kong and Cliveden in the UK amongst others. The hotel was in wonderful condition with the only accommodation being individual villas each with a plunge pool. The hotel grounds were beyond anything I have seen with beautiful long grasses, flowers , plants and trees. It really made you feel you were in paradise. The food was of a really high quality. Beauchamp probably had the best food, Bambou had a setting to die for, and Aquapazza probably came third but was a really high class alternative. The "treats on the beach" were a really nice touch, particularly the afternoon ice cream. We were recognised by the staff after a couple of days and a number of them said they worked at the Four Seasons because they were well looked after and that shone through in the service. The only small downsides are the speed boats across the lagoon (which the hotel can do nothing about) and charging for internet which we thought was unnecessary in the current world.

Room Tip: We had an Ocean Villa and we woke up to a view across the Ocean. Quite magical.
