“Ski Connections Snow School”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2013

My wife and kids all enjoyed Ski Connection lessons so much they now only want to go to school with the 'Blue Coats' as our family know them. This is the second ski school where we have had a super experience with kids thoroughly enjoying their experience.(other one was Arc 1800 Arc Aventures)
My daughter was poorly in the night and was given the option to rest the next day. She was having none of it as she said she would miss out on the morning's school.
It is a combination of the type of characters employed as teachers, their professional and an appreciation by them that parents have a much better holiday if the kids are happy. I get the impression that the teachers adore seeing their pupils ski.
The children want to go back and are fully on board with school.

“Excellent for family ski-ing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

As a very mixed ability family, we had a wonderful time in serre-chevalier
completely beautiful scenery
broad range of slopes, with something for every one (skier and boarder alike)
travelling ahead of the french holidays meant the slopes were relatively empty, and with the help of excellent ski tutelage we all progressed significantly after a week
as with other reviewers - slightly dopey Neilson rep, but all else was great.
really friendly resort, definitely hope to be back next year.

“An amazing area to ski”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2013

I have skied here 4 times now and it has never failed to disappoint even in low season. My preference is to base in Chantemerle as the chair to Serre Ratier is the quickest and easiest way to gain height. From there it is easy to gain my height and access the bowls above the tree height. Having stayed in other locations, if you have a car, drive to Chantemerle and park in one of the many free car parks and jump on the chair. It is true there are not many steep challenging runs but it's great for covering the miles. The best kept secret are the two amazing red runs that follow the Aiguillette Chair. They are very quiet and fairly long. There are good reds and blues following the Rocher Blanc chair. The Reds and blues above Tabuc are also very good though a tad short. The restaurants are all good really, though obviously not cheap. For skis use the intersport at Chantemerle in the main centre and hire a locker. We were fortunate to get a fair bit of snow which made the off piste excellent. The only bad point is the button lift at Cretes which is the only way back from Cucumelle but its not the end of the world. None of the chairs have covers so dress for a cold face if the weather looks bad. Avoid the supermarket in the centre of Chantemerle as they have poor selections and sold gone off meat, use the supermarket in Villeneuve. Having skied most of Europe I thoroughly recommend this resort.

“Family ski holiday”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2013

We traveled with Neilson - all in all it was great, but the rep was a little dopey. Good resort, lots of runs, we had lots of snow and wide clear mountains as it was end of season. Good value holiday, would definitely return again.

“Sport's Mountain Sport 2000 - best snowboards & freeride ski rentals”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 14, 2013

We had the best experience with rentals at this shop. It's close to the L'Aravet lift and just off to the right of all the other shops. The owner is very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. I rented skis and poles one day - the only shop that carried wider Volkl skis (They had the Aura, Kenja and the men's equivalent plus some that were even wider).
The next day I rented snowboard boots and my boyfriend rented snowboard, bindings and boots - he tried out a different board each day and that wasn't a problem at all, they had Burton boards, Jones, Yes, etc.... While we were on the mountain we left our normal shoes there and they were happy to also store the board and skis overnight so I didn't have to carry them all the way to the chalet each day. I also got my board storage-waxed for the summer at the end for about 10 euro.
We received great advice and above all everyone we spoke to was friendly and helpful!
We loved this shop and our whole time in Serre Chevalier and cannot recommend it highly enough!!!
