My family stayed at Auberge du Cedre for 2 nights. We have twin 10-year old daughters and we got room #10 which had 2 single beds and a double bed. The views from the room are excellent since we can see the mountains and the town ramparts directly from our room. The room was also quite spacious even for the 4 of us. However, paint was peeling, a window pane was cracked, the room carpet needed replacement since it was almost threadbare and coming off in some places. There was no way to keeping the windows from shutting when it was windy. The hotel itself wasn't very clean as dust can be seen in a number of places. Breakfast was included in our stay. It was reasonable and would've been more enjoyable if the garden was not so unkempt. On the up side, we saw that some rooms are being redone and the owner said that the main house will be renovated in Sept, something I think it badly needs. The owner was quite a character and clearly loves mountain climbing. He tried to be as accommodating as he can be but the place just needs a lot of work. There was also no daily maid service, something we would've appreciated. We noticed another hotel right next to this one called Casa Peñalolen which looked much better maintained. We would've gone to that one had we known about it.
