We arrived booked in for two nights, ended up wishing we had been booked in for longer. The accommodation, food and game drives were outstanding . James our guide was first class, having said all the staff went out of their way to do everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. Our visit started with being greeted with a cocktail and this set the trend. All food and drinks are inclusive of the price. Whilst the accommodation was excellent and there is a small swimming pool and sun loungers there was little time to use them, this is not a criticism. Your first day starts with lunch followed by a game drive till early evening which included drinks in the bush, then back to camp for more drinks around an open fire, followed by dinner. Up early at 6am out for the morning game drive and back for a first class breakfast, this is followed some leisure time and a repeat of the timetable of the previous day. Whilst the game drives did repeat seeing some of the same animals you could never know what was around the next brush. Unlike a game drive in the Kruger where you drive round roads in Amakhala the drives are done on tracks up and down hills and thorough the river. For us the was an excellent start to our trip along the Garden Route hope to revisit one day.
