Good basic pub grub at very reasonable price. Restaurant is a bit 'well used' but everything clean and very pleasant staff.

Thank you for providing your comments and feedback on your visit to The Squire Inn.

We try to provide excellent, locally sourced and home cooked food at the best possible price point to our customers and as such it was lovely to read that this is what you thought.

Our restaurant is, indeed, well used, but has just gone through a rather large refurbishment recently and looking really quite smart.

Hopefully you can pop back and check out the changes. We look forward to welcoming you back to The Squire Inn sometime in the near future.

We were so disappointed to read your comments regarding your visit to The Squire Inn.

We take pride in our food and service, and try 100% of the time to meet the high standards that our customers expect and that we expect of ourselves. We accept that, unfortunately, sometimes we do not always meet these high standards.

You mentioned that you have often eaten at The Squire and live locally. As such, you will be aware of our long-standing good reputation, and have presumably enjoyed many meals with us in the past. On this assumption we would ask that you give us the benefit of the doubt and please do try us again.

Thanks for your feedback and we do hope to see you again.

“A tradional pub offering good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2013

We have visited this pub /restaurant a few times at lunch time,- during the week and at the weekend. It gets busy,- we arrived at 12.00 on a Sunday and were told there were no tables available in the restaurant as they were all booked so we sat in the bar which was fine,- the same food but the sky sport TV rather dominated. The menu is extensive, the food well cooked and the prices reasonable. They offer a range of local beers and the staff are helpful and friendly. This is a good place for a routine lunch out but not really suitable for a special occasion.

Thank you for taking the time to review us on Trip Advisor.

The beauty of a pub like The Squire is having separate bar and restaurant areas. As you commented we do get very busy and so to avoid dining in the bar areas, where we have sports showing on the TVs, it is necessary to book a table in our restaurant over busy service periods. Our restaurant itself has just been refurbished and so makes the perfect location for a more 'special' meal.

Thank you for your comments on both the quality of the food, beer and service - all of which have been fed back to a very grateful team.

We hope to see you again here at The Squire in the future.
