“Terrific travel experience”

Lagrasse Garden Studio was a terrific travel experience for us. What a pleasant surprise it is when accommodation totally surpasses your expectations, as the Lagrasse apartments did.  Plenty of comfort and room in a very well appointed apartment, made our stay great value. The friendly service from Guy and Claire made it a standout feature of or Holiday. The village itself is every bit as beautiful as the photos and well worth the visit with fairly close access to many of the other main sites of the region.

We've just spent a week with Guy and Claire and can thoroughtly recommend their wonderful Grenier apartment.(their other apartments looked equally super). The apartment is spotlessly clean, and has been wonderfully renovated with everything you could wish for. The kitchen is really well equipped if you are doing any cooking whilst there. The location in the centre of Lagrasse is superb and a 2 minute walk to the bakery for morning bread and croissants! With just a 30min drive to the Canal du Midi for great cycling( thanks for the use of your bikes !), the coast at Narbonne or Carcasonne it couldn't be better. Alternatively its a super spot to relax in the garden or by the pool or to just cycle, walk or potter around.Guy and Claire are very welcoming and made us feel totally at home with their welcome drink and lovely barbeque on the Tuesday evening. We hope to return next year and would thoroughly recommend staying with them.

We spent a week in Lagrasse in the Grenier apartment. Superbly done up, clean and bright with a lovely feel. We thought it was perfect. We could see the garden and the hills from the lounge and went up the road each day for lovely fresh bread and cakes (holiday treat). Guy and Claire were very friendly and helpful and offered advice on places to go. We went out to Carcassonne, Narbonne and Chateaux Peyrepertuse but were also happy to stay local as Lagrasse is so beautiful. We swam in the river at Ribault and spent a day in the garden letting the kids play in the pool and playhouse and also went round the Abbey (which has links with the house). This was our first holiday away from the sea for a long time and I didnt miss it. Also, as much as i love holidays, I am normally ready to come home but this time none of us wanted to leave. There was still so much left to do. I have already looked at flights for a return visit next year. I cannot reccomend this place highly enough...and the little ice cream place by the river is wonderful.

We have just spent a great week in Lagrasse with Guy and Clare. The gite (and Lagrasse) is a great base from which to explore the region with plenty of places to visit and things to do when you wanted to whilst the gite was a wonderful place to relax in when you wanted peace and quiet.

We couldn't have asked for anymore! Would definitely recommend to anyone else looking for somewhere to stay.

p.s. no mosquitos is another big plus

We spent a week here in May staying in the Arch apartment, it was beautifully decorated and renovated and spotlessly clean with all the amenities you could ask for, including English speaking sky tv and high speed wi-fi. Guy and Clare were great hosts offering good advice and they delivered a mean barbeque welcoming all the residents. Very relaxed setting were you could socialise as much or as little as you pleased in the courtyard.

Lagrasse is a lovely little medieval village with a few shops for the essentials and several nice restaurants. We ate in L'Affenage on our last two nights and the food was delicious, with a vegetarian & coeliac friendly set menu that was helpful in this area. Conveniently located near Carcassonne and other scenic places. We will definately recommend their apartments to our friends and family.

Lagrasse is a beautiful, picturesque village in the South of France, and the Grenier Apartment was a perfect spot from which to explore the countryside around Lagrasse. Guy and Clare are helpful, friendly and welcoming, and the apartment is very comfortable and well decorated. The house has incredible history attached to it, just ask Guy for the story of the renovation during one of his regular BBQs for house guests. It was a break of good food, good wine, and great hosts in a lovely setting. We even got 30 degree weather ! The whole group loved it and will definitely return. Recommend it.

Room Tip: I'd go for the ground floor next time. Less stairs !

The Garden Studio is the perfect accommodation in the picturesque village of Lagrasse. The standard of accommodation is excellent and the warmth and hospitality of Guy & his team of 'little helpers' is genuine - you feel like old friends being welcomed back. Our apartment was spotlessly clean, spacious and had everything one could want. The other folks staying there were very friendly and we all gathered every evening for wine and stories of the day - we were even lucky enough to experience one of Guy's barbecues. The beautiful little town of Lagrasse is the perfect place to explore the area - it's big enough to have a good selection of great restaurants, shops and caves, but small enough to walk easily and become familiar. There are some lovely hill walks in the vicinity too! Our stay of one week was not enough and we will definitely return next year.
