“crowded beach”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2012

it's a nice hike until the beach, so the boat from taganga is better avoided.
full of restaurants and pretty crowded, it's pleasant for families but crowded beach.

“Nice little day trip from taganga.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2012

Playa Grande is quiet in the morning, then lively and bustling in the afternoon. Wear good shoes on the walk over from Taganga to this nice little beach. Then hire a deck chair, snorkel, eat fresh fish for lunch, While lounging in your chair you'll be offered cerviche, massages, little sweet coffees, jewellery, wooden flutes, paintings, pastries, ice creams, all in a pleasant non invasive way. Look out for the smoothie machine run by a generator, there's no electricity on the beach.

“beautiful, pity about the trash”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2012

I really love the beaches in colombia but i really wish the locals cared more about the problems with rubbish. I was snorkeling and saw lots of rubbish under the water and dead fish in the water. Lots of rubbish on the beach too. Can't understand why people ignore it. But it's such a nice place and so close to taganga people go there anyway. I would recommend the beaches in tayrona instead. Takes a bit more time to get there but a good thing to do to show the locals that you the environment matters to you

“Nice beach, disturbing peddlers”

Nice beach, but locals are disturbing too much, bartenders, peddlers, ... tourists feel like money walking...

“Not too Grande”

A nice beach with comfortable chairs. Many restaurants, but make sure the oil is fresh when they bake your fish!
