The place is new, about a year+ old. It is still being built by the manager, but nothing to do with loud noises, mostly finishing touches when I stayed there.
The manager (Omar) was extremely friendly. Despite my complete lack of Spanish, he made every effort to make us feel welcomed, that included:
1. Admiting us in at 1am
2. Walking us to the boardwalk and making sure we were taken care of
3. Refusing to accept tip (there was a tip box that I was finally introduced to, which happily took all of my change and a few notes.
4. Overall very nice and helpful
He was the biggest asset in that place. Granted, there weren't many people there, but still.
On the cons - the place had a lot of ants, which I don't particularly care about, but some would. Breakfast was edible but that's pretty much it. It's a very simple place to crash, but we ended up staying there a few days as we found no reason to switch locals. It's a bit far from the main boardwalk (5-7 minutes walking) but that didn't really matter much to me either.More
