We are a family of 2 adults and 3 girls ranging in age from 4 to 12. Keeping everyone happy is never easy but this holiday was one of the exceptions.
The area : loads to see nearby. Eden project isnt too far away and we loved Polperro and the local bay (Treskill?). Looe is great for crabbing and a bit of mainstream fish and chipping! Also do visit Trewithen restaurant in Lothwithiel - great family deals between 6 and 7pm!!
The house: the kids played hide and seek pretty much non stop as we had a guest living room and two of the rooms upstairs. When the clouds cleared they played with Cracker the dog, petted the horses and had a guided tour of the farm and the new calves. They now all want to be farmers. The house is circled by a garden that is big enough to run around in and keeps little people off the actual farm area.
The house has 3 bedrooms, two with en suite showers and loos and one with an ajoining bathroom with bath (we were allowed to use the bath when the other room was free, which was brilliant for our shower hating littlies). We had a big double bed in a good sized room and a great view of the farm, the girls had twin beds and the youngest had the harry potter zedbed in the walk in closet - sounds awful but she chose to sleep there and it does have a window!!!
The house was spotless. There were loads of guidebooks and leaflets and Lorraine was really helpful in letting us know what was going on in the area.
The breakfast was brilliant, a never ending supply of cerial, toast, full english, yoghurt etc. Lorraine even made us a cuppa when we arrived with cakes and biscuits. Perfect!
Even though the B&B is on a working farm and is shared with a family, you wouldnt know they were there. I've had my share of horrendous holidays and it's really not easy when you have 3 kids to find somewhere that works for everyone but this place is a real treasure.
Now we just need them to get the weather under controll!
