“Nice little eating place”

Good choice of buffet but can get quite busy at weekends. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. Never had a problem and staff go out of their way to help.

“Another visit for lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2013 via mobile

Another visit to. The pink turban brought another satisfied outcome it had been about two months since our last visit for lunch AS us all the starters on the buffet menu were fresh and wheel worth tasting with plenty of salad to mix with THe main meals gave a varied choice with 3types of rice 'nan etc with a good choice of desserts and tea or coffee to follow made this an excellent value luncvn for £5.99

“Inedible, rubbish food with appalling service; AVOID!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2013

Meeting some family in the town of my birth the other day, local eating out options are severely limited in this dearth of a place that has seen very many better days.

So - we ended up in what is described as an authentic, good value and friendly local Indian restaurant.

This is NOT an authentic Indian by any stretch of the imagination - and the "cooks" in the kitchen wouldn't know authentic Indian regional cuisine if it slapped them in the face.

The place is essentially a buffet - a mish-mash of ropey food which is a total insult to the cuisine of the sub-continent. Bland, greasy, luke warm, confused flavours, inadequate attention to textures and attention to detail is essentially missing in action.

Then add on sub-standard amateur service and you have a place which I have now come to associate with the malaise of most Indian eateries in Scotland.

The Pink Turban is, to be frank, complete rubbish.

If you are easily pleased, love fat, dyslexic service - this is the place to come.

Thankfully for me, it was family duty - so there is no need to give this festering sore any more custom.

“Great during the week”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013 via mobile

I sometimes go to the buffet during the week as the food, service and prices are great. However I purposefully avoid pink turban on Fridays and Saturdays as I find it to be too busy and the food isn't as good as it is during the week, it seems rushed. However for an Indian food buffet it is second to none
