“Excellent self catering accommodation in a peaceful location.”
Reviewed 2 weeks ago for a stay in June 2018

This is a location to unwind and relax in the countryside, complete with a view of the Ballyhoura Mountains from the lounge and small patio. Peace and quiet, only the sounds of nature and the occasional tractor. Consequently, it is a car ride away from shops, but this was not a problem for us. Our host Alyce couldn't have been more helpful. The accommodation was very well equipped. You may well meet several very friendly farm dogs, again not a problem for us. As can happen in a rural location there was limited mobile phone coverage (on the O2 network). Wi-Fi reception was best from the garden adjacent to our cottage. The nearby villages of Ardpatrick and Ballyorgan have welcoming bars and there is good cafe in Ardpatrick. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Castleoliver farm.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent trip to Millhouse cottage. We stayed here with our six month old baby and found the cottage provided the perfect get-away. The cottage boasts stunning views, has every mod con, is situated on a beautiful farm and is in a good location to explore the surrounding countryside. We would definitely stay again!! The owner Alyce went out of her way to ensure our comfort; she even provided a cot, blankets and baby bath. Thank you Alyce for a wonderful stay!!

“Amongst amazing old farm buildings”
Reviewed May 20, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

The old mill house has been completed restored to a high standard. The lounge/kitchen had very comfortable sofas and the kitchen had everything you could need for a short stay. There is heating both central and an open fireplace, which was very pleasant. The bedroom was large with a small walk in robe and an ensuite. The ensuite shower was tired and the water pressure poor. Alyce was a pleasant and friendly hostess, with nothing being too much trouble. Internet connection was very poor.

The House, the setting were fabulous, we throughly enjoyed our stay at the Mill House. It was a home from home, lovely and clean, well presented, just as it looks in the picture! Alyce was lovely, a warm, friendly lady, nothing was to much trouble for her! I would highly recommend this house!
