A real quirky and quaint little place. Had we not made plans to meet friends for lunch in Lochcarron we would have stayed for lunch as the menu looked great. The coffee and scone we had were excellent though. Great staff too. A place with a real homely vibe in the highlands.

We were in on sat morning and had a very good fresh cooked breakfast with tea that was perfect, we sat next to the woodburner nice and cosy. The rest of scotland should take note this is how you treat tourists, you are made to feel welcome and i will be back again.

Unlike the Scotland of old " sorry we stopped serving food at 2pm" ! this café is open to everyone
all through the day and what a treat.............not the usual pie, beans and chips but an amazing array of food to tempt even the most critical visitor. Friendly owner, great service and what an amazing scenery to look at. Look for their pavement sign post as it's not on the main road North.
The weary walker , climber and general visitor will not be disappointed.

An excellent place to stop for lunch, with good quality fresh food served by friendly staff. While it is great value, that's not to say it's particularly cheap as such (ie, not a budget choice – go to the Co-Op for that), and don't expect any spectacular views out the window while you're chowing down. However, what you do get is comfy sofas, an array of local artwork, newspapers, board games, tourist info, etc. Outside of the excellent food, I also very much appreciated the toilet humour (… in the toilets, natch). Overall, I'd say it's definitely worth a pit stop at the Whistle Stop...
