The hotel is in a lovely location in a quiet part of town.Beautiful views through trees towards the sea.Breakfast can be taken on the terrace and comes attractively presented on a tray containing freshly squeezed orange juice, stewed apricots, Greek yogurt/vanilla pudding or rice pudding, homemade jams and a choice of breads .Public area of the hotel is very attractive with comfortable seating areas both indoor and out. There is no lift but the hotel staff carry luggage up and down.Bedrooms a little tired, but clean.Plastic shower curtain blows around and clings whilst trying to shower. No safe.Family owned hotel, reasonable level of English, very welcoming .Easy walking distance to the archeological museum and local restaurants.

Room Tip: Rooms on the east side have morning sun and escape the afternoon sun.The hotel has no lift so choose a room on the first floor.

It was a wonderful vacation in this hotel. We enjoyed our beautiful room and the great sea-view in the morning. But what really made the big difference, was the owner and staff. So friendly, helpful and sweet for the baby. We know by experience, that is not something you can take for granted. The only downside is that we have to go the gym and on diets comming weeks. The cooks prepared such a delicious diners (the lobster, the lamb, the Scorpion fish and more) that we ate much to much.

Crossing the car park to walk down steps to the nearest beach is so convenient while partners can enjoy relaxing on facing balconies. This beach has rather sharp sand and gravel with tricky rocks offshore but further along the main road is a sandier beach with umbrellas/facilities etc more suited to little ones or nervous swimmers. Beach 'jellies' would be helpful but not essential on any of the prolific beaches around the hotel promontory or further along the shore and you could have a little beach to yourself if you wanted.
We loved everything about the hotel itself: simple bedrooms with ample hanging space, bathrooms with ventilation shafts, sliding wooden balcony shutters for privacy and door grilles to allow free air circulation, air-con to block out any outside noise at night, beach towels on request, suitcase helpers as there is no lift, wrap-around verandah with individual breakfast tables, rattan settees in sun and shade, superb marble bar/lounge area, spacious reception, downstairs toilets, excellent dining with Sophia's specialities and our group had free wine!
Walking through the gardens to the Venetian fort, museum, fishing harbour and tavernas was just ideal.
There is a public bus service to Agia Marina where the ferry from Ravina lands so anyone can reach this island fairly easily, only 20km from Athens airport. We didn't check but there could be a public bus or train connection from the capital.
Some of our group fround the Greek breakfast repetitive but we loved the freshness and excellent service with no pressure from self-service queus or noise from busy surroundings. It was by far the best Greek hotel in our experience and was clearly popular with Greeks themselves.

Room Tip: we enjoyed facing east to have morning sun and afternoon shade on the balcony and could wave to each other from the nearest beaches. Friends facing south across the garden fancied mosquitoes might have appeared but we saw none.

Staff are friendly and Spoke a bit of English which made things easier. We only had a traditional breakfast which was amply. Our room overlooked the beaches and were outstanding. A very relaxing atmosphere, rooms had the basics and the hotel was very nicely decorated. Easy access to the beach, town and outskirts.

Owner and staff, make you feel super! nice selection of music during breakfast. Lunch was excellent, like visiting a first class restaurant. Although rooms need to be a littlr bit refreshed, total impression makes you feel really excited.

Room Tip: Rooms on first floor, since there is no lift.
