“Excellent choice for peaceful vacations.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2012 via mobile

This hotel is the term for best value for money. It is built on an excellent hill anove the city of Karystos with great view from everywhere in the hotel. The rooms are huge and can accomondate a family of 4 adequate. However is a single spacious room that could be divided in two bedrooms for more privacy of the children. Bathrooms are excellent and spacious also. Daily room cleaning was great. Pool with such a view was trully thrilling experience. Breakfast was very good also. Daily fresh squized orange juice was a surprise. Babis is one man show!!!

The only cons were that was not WIFI but wired internet in the rooms and nothing to eat in the hotel's bar. Needs for sure a light snacs catalog.

Hospitality was great from all personell!!
Prices even better!!!

Definatelly going to be back the soonest!!

Extraordinary unit situated on the best place of Karistos. The room was clean and spacious and the people were very friendly. The view from all the rooms is panoramic over the gulf of Karistos. Staying in such a quite hotel in conjuction with the good local food and the excellent beaches of the gulf is a very good holiday proposition. The unit should be used as an example of what a small hotel can offer to the local tourism.
As a piece of advice for a further improvement: a couple of local products, carefully signed, must be added in the breakfast

This place is the best! The owner is a very nice guy, the hotel is very nice indeed. Just 16 rooms, hardly any tourists that aren't Greek and the breakfast is delicious.

Aegea hotel offers peace and quiet. There are almost no tourists from outside of Greece, which makes you feel really away from home.
The hotel is small, only 16 large rooms but very stylish decorated and clean. All the rooms offer a view over the sea and Karystos.
The staff is very nice and try to make your stay as comfertable as possible. Also the breakfast (served from early - 11AM) was yummy! Freshly squeezed orange juice, home made cake and scrambled eggs like you cook them at home.
The swimmingpool is large enough with a seperate kids pool and jucuzzzi within the pool, although the water was a bit cold, its wasn't to cool to jump into it when you were trying to cool down from the hot greece sun.

One more tip:
If you would like to explore the surroundings with the most amazing clear beaches, we would advise you to rent a car including a navigation system, because most of the signs are in greece and hard to find for foreigners.

The hotel is minimalistic and very tastefully decorated. It has 16 rooms and all of them have a very nice view of Karystos and the sea.The rooms are very clean and the staff is very polite.
We booked a room for 2 adults and a baby(they offered to give us a playpen, but we had our own)and the room had a double bed and 2 single beds! The room was big and very confortable with inernet access.
The swimming pool is big and seems very clean and there is also a little playground for kids at the garden.
The prices are lower when you book for more than 5-6 days.
The only disadvantage is that you need car to get to the nearest beach (10 minutes trip),but we mere so pleased by the hospitality that we havent regreted it.

Room Tip: All rooms have exellent view. So if you have children (or the company of an older person) you'd...

Aegea hotel is brand new and it gives its guests a great feeling of respect to the customer. it's nicely furnished, minimalistic, has spacious rooms, nice balcony with sea view. Very polite owner/staff, nice breakfast, on the whole my husband and i enjoyed very much our stay there. we paid 95euros/night and it was worth it. Its drawbacks are minor(rooms need stronger light at night, too many insects at night, u definetely need a car to move around but if u have one karystos' fantastic beaches are only 15 minutes drive away)

I needed relaxation but the ability to fit in some important work deliverables .The Aegea is perfect for that situation - Large rooms (25m2+) with desk and free internet - for some reason my laptop didn't connect in the room but my daughters did but no problem - I worked on the balcony and at the pool area in between refreshng dips . The rooms are spotless (great to have the use of the beds 1st season!) Style is "minimalistic" - uncluttered, adequate and classy. Very peaceful location with a great view over the groves to the bay. Breakfast was great - eggs, sausage, greek yogurt, fruit, cakes, etc and wonderful freshly squuezed orange juice (help yourself). A nice touch is the jug of iced water brought to the table. Staff are VERY helpful and friendly . Also the chilled bottle of complimentary wine in the room was a welcome gesture. Everything is just so clean and inviting.
You do need a car however ie don't think about walking up from the beach in high summer.
Loads of incredible deserted beaches within 3- 12 minutes drive.
I just absutely loved this hotel and will be coning back

  • Liked — large rooms, hotel totally new &clean , swimmigpool, staff friendliness
