For kids, there's an outdoor adventure play area and mud kitchen, indoor climbing wall, and events every school holiday. There are pushchair and wheelchair friendly woodland and riverside trails around the grounds and plenty of picnic areas and seating if you just want to sit back and soak up the fantastic views across the Esk Valley. There's also interactive exhibits inside and the acclaimed Inspired by... gallery with changing exhibitions by contemporary artists. “A lovely place to visit”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

This is a wonderful place for a day out, there is so much to do and see. The walks are well laid out and the surface of the pathways is easy to walk on. There is much for children to enjoy - play areas, the riverside and woodland. The exhibition area is quite brilliant.
The bacon sandwiches served at the cafe are, perhaps, the best we have tasted, lots of bacon in soft fluffy white rolls. Delicious! Can't you smell them? We were served promptly and pleasantly by an efficient staff of young ladies.
We had made our way to Danby by way of the Moorsbus Network coming across lots of people using the service to enjoy our great countryside. What a shame it is that this service which has and does bring so much pleasure to so many people will cease next year. Government cuts!

“Good place to see nature..”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

good place to see nature. if u like to walk on hills & path ways with enjoying nature with your pats, then this could be one of the place.
If u like to see this national park by Glider, it will cost you about 90-100 for 30 minutes.

I found Blue Berry there, it was place to enjoy the nature..

“Good day out”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

I visited in order to go geocaching (www.geocaching.com) and found some very good hides. Dogs are excluded from one wood only, and they did explain this was for environmental reasons. Lovely playground and cafe; they did advertise free WiFi- the office said it was available in the cafe, but it wasn't, which was disappointing as it had been one of the reasons for going there. Car park £4 all day, same as other North York Moors car parks- as it goes towards their upkeep, that's OK and locals can get a season ticket for £10.
