We selected this Chateau because it was only an easy half hour drive from the CDG airport. It was a great place to end our two week trip to France. Guaranteed to get to the airport on time, we relaxed, absolutely enjoyed the property- it was just gorgeous. Next time we will stay here again and allow more time to hike on the trails or take one of their many available bicycles for a ride. We used the pool which was indoors- clean and refreshing. We needed wifi for our daughter to communicate with her college, it was not consistent in our room, but there is a small business center with dedicated internet that sufficed. We decided we had enough moving around and ate dinner in the Chateau, it was very convenient but not particularly delicious, I would avoid the steak. The ice cream desert was superb however. After dinner we played several outdoor ping pong games which was delightful. Breakfast is served in the lodging building. It was very delicious, with many choices of hot and cold items. We had a long day of travel ahead, we were so glad we chose the Chateau de Maffliers, we left rested and well fed.

Room Tip: We were three adult people in a room with a double bed and a pullout couch. The hotel does not have...

This hotel is off the beaten track, tucked in a small forest on the western edge of the village of Maffliers. The old chateau is now the bar, meeting rooms and function centre, and all the accommodation is in a purpose-built, modern building about 70m away. Make sure to print a map, or record the satnav coordinates; you'll need a car, too, public transport to this place would be just possible, but once you get here you'll want wheels to visit the surrounding attractions.

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, food was OK, and good value considering there were no other options within walking distance. Rooms simple, but bed and bathroom both good, and you're not going to spend much other time there, let's face it!

Plenty to do for children, pool, table tennis, tennis courts, horse-riding, playground and plenty of room to run around.

Room Tip: All rooms about the same, a separate modern wing about 70m from the chateau proper.

we had a great time here, we only stayed one night which was a pity as the hotel facilities were excellent. the food was lovely, the room was plenty big enough for the four of us and the swimming pool just topped it all. excellent service, beautiful surroundings, I would definitely stay again

What a beautiful location. We got there easily by train from Paris and taxi from the train station (11 Euro.) The breakfast was fantastic. The grounds and facility is a welcome rejuvenating break so very close to Paris. Our only regret is that we had to leave and didn't stay to enjoy an extra day or to use the spa and restaurant.

Room Tip: Make sure you select your bedding configuration that suits you, but we found the bed very comfortab...

Good quality hotel in quiet countryside surroundings. Easily accessible to Paris if you have a car (and with secluded private parking at no additional cost).

Rooms are in a purpose built annex away from the chateau which houses the restaurant, bar, pool and function / conference rooms.

Rooms are fine and modern, and kept clean. Most rooms have a double bed with a convertible sofa bed and look out to woodland or the interior courtyard.

A number of years ago, when I last visited, the main restaurant was more self styled "fine dining" and over priced for what was offered. Now it is styled "Novotel Café", meaning you can get a good meal at a decent price, and the service was excellent (bar, restaurant and reception).

I would have no hesitation to recommend or return, but you need a car, and don't expect to walk to small local restaurants / bars

We chose this hotel for our last night in France because it is very conveniently located for CDG airport (only about half an hour awayeven in the rush hour in the middle of a thunderstorm). The hotel is very decent, and very modern, the staff friendly. The restaurant in the very elegant old chateau was very pleasant; it was a lovely evening, so we dined outside on the terrace. The food was good and service was excellent, provided by the charming Fernando.
The only real drawback to the hotel was finding it--it is set behind two villages, Maffliers and Montsoult, so even though it is only a mile or less from a major highway it is very tricky to find. Google map or equivalent very much advised.
The next time we are looking for a hotel near the airport for our last night before departure this will be our no. 1 choice.

An excellent hotel. Caring staff and so well positioned. Beautiful grounds. We found it because it was in the right place to visit friends, but will definitely go again. So easy to get to Paris by train too.

Room Tip: Ask for Jew of park.
