From the outside to some the Franchipani may look like like just one of those cheap restaurants serving food to anxious tourists. Once you're inside, the simple yet stylishly cosy atmosphere comes over you. The owner is a very friendly (German) guy running his restaurant in a professional way, with very helpful and courteous staff. The rather limited - in a good way - menu offers a very international, ecclectic choice of dishes. Ingredients were very fresh and high quality; portions were generous. The Franchipani is not cheap and definitely presents itself as a culinary restaurant. When in La Palma, it is is worth the visit and detour for those who are looking for some international refinement.
