We are a family of 5 (kids 13, 9, 3) and have just returened from 11 nights at Parc de Alicourts. We went with Keycamp. We found the parc easily using the map and instructions fro Keycamp - (the directions were great for getting around France). On arrival at the Parc we were not disappointed. Our caravan was basic and small (we knew that on booking) - however this was not an issue as the only time we used the caravan was to sleep in and cook. The rest of the time we were outside dining or playing.

The Parc had amazing facilities. The pool complex was clean with a varietyof pools and slides for the kids to play on. They loved the slides and the wave pool. The beach/lake was brilliant. The kids loved swimming and paddling in the lake. The toilets were also lovely and clean. There was 2 play areas for smaller kids which we used lots especially in the evening when it had cooled down a lot.

There was activities on site you could book (canoes, pedalos, bikes etc) - we did use this occasionally - but to be honest there is enough to do without this.

The shop on site was a little on the pricey side - but the nearest village Lamotte Beuvron - about 20 mins away had a supermarket which we used twice.

The evening entertainment was basic but good. - a kids disco followed by an show / kids games. We all enjoyed it and it was lovely sitting outside until late at night. The drinks from the bar were a bit pricey - so we tended to limit to one a night for the kids!

We stayed 11 nights and most of the time we stayed on the parc - mornings at the pool, followed by long lazy lunch then afternoon at the beach. We did however have 2 trips out. Chateau de Chamboard and ZooParc de Beauval. Both were about 1hr 20 min away - but both well worth the drive. It is worth taking a picnic on these outings ads food can be pricey.

If you stay on this site i would recommend that you have a car so you can get out and about - it was lovely to drive through the surrounding areas getting a feel of France.

Overall this was a fantastic holiday on a great site in a lovely location.

This was our first camping holiday abroad, normally we just book a package and go somewhere on a plane. I had 2 kids begging me to go on a plane, but when we arrived at Les Alicourts nobody was dissapointed. It was fabulous, the pitches are huge, the lake beach is spotless and the toilet blocks were perfect, even had baths for kids. The staff were more than friendly all the time, the on site shop was a little expensive but thats to be expected. There is so much to do, you dont need to leave the site. I would definately reccommend this site, and I will return here.

Room Tip: its worth requesting a lake view pitch.

We stayed at a Eurocamp cabin (#402) for a week. The site was very clean, the facilities abundant. But you will need a car. The closest large town (lamotte beuvron) does have a train and a good supermarket. Alicourts also has an onsite supermarket but the it is pricey. Drive into down, have dinner one night and shop at Intermarche!

The lake is wonderful. If you want to camp, try and get one of the sites opposite the lake. The pool facilities are great. It has a large wave pool area, toddlers pool and a lagoon pool. The kids will spend most of it between the wave pool and the slide. The area is well kept but sunbeds will be scarce, so get there early!

The kids will be entertained by the list of activities, but the park charges for about everything thing they want to play with such as karts, bikes etc. But they will be occupied. My kids are 10, 8 and 4.

There is an onsite restuarant but we only ate one meal there and it was not that great! Will be good on the first night when you arrived, but the take-away shop is cheaper and serves good pizzas.

Overall, we really liked it and having a car made local exploring a good holiday for all.

Really good site for relaxing, long drive to anywhere, this wasn't an issue for us as we'd been sightseeing and at the Olympics before arriving and just wanted a rest! It was a restful site, quiet and everything laid on that you could want. You could hire bikes, go karts etc. It has a good restaurant, European style rather than all French, they seated a party of 15 and meals were all together and good. We only tried the pizzas from the takeaway, they weren't the best nor the worst but were overpriced, greatly, 12 euros for a 4 cheese pizza. The shop was good, expensive for some items, though a god send for between supermarket trips. Washing was expensive at 6 euros a load, necessary for long trips away from home, only paid 3 euros in Italy on much larger site. The lake was lovely to swim in, they had a lifeguard for the swimming area but safe to swim in rest of lake, sandy floor which was nice. The pools were play pools, not for swimming in and cold, however the smaller children in our party loved them though their parents didn't get involved in the 10a.m. stampede for sunbeds. We just pitched down at the lake beach and visited when we were ready. The spa centre looked good, husband and children used the gym which they said was good. Tennis was 10 euro an hour, did that a few times, basketball was free and they lend you the ball. We played frisbee golf a couple of times which was good fun. The shower/washing facilities were lovely, cleaned 3 times a day, lovely area for toddlers and some really big showers too for families. These were faultless. Overall a very good site, we probably wouldn't visit again due to it's remoteness though this suited us this year, finding a site in the Loire with pools and a clean lake was a challenge, this site more than met it. Would recommend.
