We arrived and were made immediately welcomed by friendly faces. Our room was furnished beautifully and had a lovely terrace with chairs and tables to sit on. The view was of field and 3 small lakes.

We had our evening meal in the Greyhound the local pub which was a 5 min walk away. We had great food at reasonable prices and a great time watching Swansea versus Arsenal with the locals who were extremely friendly. Great night!

The breakfasts were lovely and mine host Andrew provided me a taste of Larva bread on the 2 mornings as I had mentioned it in the pub the previous evening. What great service and care taken for a guest.

Andrew and his staff were great and made us feel very welcome, we will definitely return again.

If you want a beautiful wedding this is the place to go!,,,

Dear Susan T,

Wow - thank you for your review, it is comments like this that keep us motivated and smiling.. and we have to agree with you, Oldwall's is rather special.

Earlier this year we renovated our self catering cottages into 13 beautiful Bedrooms, 3 Luxury Suites and our spectacular Bridal Suite and we are very pleased with the results.

We are looking forward to working with you over the next few months in the build up to your big day.

Warmest regards

Visited on 17/09/13 for a potential wedding venue. It is absolutely stunning, the marquee and the ceremony room are outstanding. The rooms are 5 star - we looked around 5 different suites, they were clean and very modern with gorgeous decor.
The staff from bar staff to manager were very helpful and friendly and the food was excellent.
Can't wait for our wedding there in may

Room Tip: Garden rooms have a fab view

Just got back from Gower, had a wonderful 3 day break with family and meeting family and new friends.
Oldwalls was just what we needed , clean and modern rooms with the advantage of a good breakfast to set you up for the day.Ideally placed to visit all the local beaches and attractions.
My only negative was on the day of leaving Jan was not on breakfast duty and it suffered a little on service and quality, but overall we had a smashing time.
Would i go again ? DEFFO !
Cant wait to return.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the lakes are very nice, we had room 2.

My sister booked this for her wedding in August 2013 and the family and friends booked up a number of the rooms for the 40+ guests who would be attending. We arrived on the Thursday and found the setting to be really lovely. The site is approached by a private road and brings you to the reception. The accommodation is set out on two sides of a quad and the third side is the wedding venue itself, comprising the bar area and the adjoining wedding marquee.
The accommodation is very good, but not 5 star. The rooms are quite large with a big en-suite bathroom, but with shower over the bath. Some of the lighting was not working in our bathroom. The bridal suite is excellent with a large plasma flat screen, a sauna and a hot tub.
The wedding itself was very good and well organised, but there was no Master of Ceremonies provided so the best man found himself busier than he was already. The service at the wedding was very good but there was quite a wait between courses. The food itself was very good. Being a self contained venue the cost of drinks were a bit more expensive than usual, but not too bad at £3.50 for a pint of bitter and up to £4.90 for Starpommen lager. Wine was £5.20 for a large glass. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a full English on offer and the usual cereals, fruit, croissants etc.
The staff were very good and very friendly, but we did have a mix up with the room allocation, which was a little disappointing as my sister had planned and agreed with the venue the room arrangements. (For example our parents were planned to be next to our uncle and aunt on the ground floor of the farmhouse block, but there were already a couple from outside of our party given the room allocated to our uncle and aunt).

The grounds are really quite lovely for the wedding photos, with large pools on 3 different levels, but you need to keep an eye on any children.

Overall it was a very good venue for the wedding.

Dear Jeremy G,

Thank you for taking the time to write review, hearing our guests feedback is not only motivating it allows to us to make any necessary changes to improve.

We agree, Oldwalls is an amazing venue for visitor's to Gower and for weddings - we have made significant changes this year and we are so pleased with how wonderful Oldwalls looks.

Our accommodation has been recognized as 5 star by Visit Wales and I agree our rooms are lovely. We have recently renovated our bridal suite (and other rooms) earlier this year and it really is beautiful.

With regard to the accommodation, whilst we endeavor to keep to the room allocation requested - there are instances where we are not able to guarantee this. I am sorry if this has affected your stay, however our guest accommodation is only exclusive to the wedding and the wedding guests on the night of the wedding unless the whole of the accommodation is booked out the night before by the wedding party.

Thank you for your feedback, perhaps you could email our office on info@oldwallsgower.com with the area's you felt we could improve. Your comments would be gratefully received.

Warmest regards

My now husband and I chose Oldwalls as our Wedding Venue. When we initially visited the venue it took our breath away and from that moment on we knew that we would have a truly magical day that would live up to all of our expectations, but we were wrong... it exceeded way beyond our expectations! All the staff were so friendly and helped us to create the day we dreamed of. The venue, the food, the accomodation (in particular the bridal suite) were out of this world. Our guests raved about our wedding for weeks later and we chose to stay 2 nights following our wedding. We definately plan to return every year for our wedding anniversary.

Thank you to everyone at Oldwalls but particularly Catherine and Andrew (owners). See you soon! xx
