My husband and twin 10 year old boys love camping and I go on the understanding I can choose the campsite. East Fleet was fantastic. We had an extra large electric pitch in the Stable Field. Toilets and showers were spotless, play area and play barn a hit with the boys. They made lots of friends and had a great time.
Close to Weymouth, we spent hours at the Harbour catching crabs! Went to Nothe Fort, Portland, Sealife Centre and Tower and Bennett's Water Garden
I enjoyed this holiday more than the two weeks we spent in Spain earlier in the summer.
Weather was brilliant
We hope to return next year

We stayed here for the first week in August. Me, the wife, our 11year old boy and our dog. We had a brilliant time. The pitches are huge and the shower/toilet block was exemplary. The well stocked shop had everything and the fact it was also a Caravan and Tent shop made sure you are covered for any eventualities.

Our son made several friends in the play park and was really upset when we had to leave for our onward journey to Cornwall so we had to promise him we would come again next year. But to be honest that wasn't a hard decision to make.

If I was to make one suggestion to the owners it would be to expand the menu in the bar as we would have eaten there more often had there been more choice.

Just returned from a 4 night stay at this site and the site was at most half full.
First off it is a really nice site and we would certainly look here first to book when we go back camping in this area again.
Reception and shop. Staff were friendly and helpful. The shop is well stocked with provisions and also it is a camping shop that is open to the general public, so has all the camping and caravanning equipment /spares you would need.
. The site is just outside Portland and not too far from the coastal road up the Chesel beach and Weymouth so is in a good location. The camping area is positioned low down near the lagoon right on a costal path
To get onto the site for the first time with your car you have to check in at reception who would give you a pin code to open the barrier.
We booked a standard non electric hook up pitch, and for that you get a quite a large set area for a tent and a large set space for your car, even in busy times we wouldn’t feel crammed in. Only a few weeks ago we were camping up the road at Sea Barn Farm campsite and after that experience we really appreciated the set space provided by the pitches at East Fleet Farm.
It looked to us that the majority of the pitches were electrical hook up ones. Add to that some of the standard pitches were on slight slopes so in future if we went for a standard pitch again we would have to book well in advance during peak season to ensure we got a decent pitch.
The site itself was well maintained and clean. Only the new toilet block was open when we stayed. The wash rooms or Shower suites as they call them were by far the best wash room facilities we have seen on any campsite. Not just clean and working but a toilet, shower , sink, and changing area all in one spacious room that gave us a feeling of privacy that you wouldn’t normally get in a campsite wash room. Couldn’t compare to the old toilet block facilities but would suspect during busy periods /peak times finding a free shower suite hard to come by.
They also have a good onsite laundrette room with washing machines and tumble dryers.
They have a pub on site, but we didnt get to use it.
One last observation , the site seems to attract a lot of dog owners.

Room Tip: Some pitches are on a slope so maybe check this out on booking

My family have been camping in the summer at East Fleet Farm for 8yrs, it is the best camping site in the south. The park is well managed , the shower and toilet blocks are clean and in top condition, there is always the offer of help with your tent on arrival this impressed us. there is a friendly atmosphere at the pub on site and the food is very good home cooking.

Had a superb week at East Fleet Touring Park- helped by epic weather! I have stayed at this site many times over the years and it has always been good. Amazing views over the Fleet and easy access to the coastal path. the facilities are superb, although we were there over bank holiday weekend and the site was full, the pitches are generous and it didn't feel crowded. We didn't have to queue for the shower suites (which seemed new and spotless). It was totally quiet by 1000 each evening. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, we didn't fancy our allocated pitch ( due to being next to the playground), and they changed it without fuss, despite ours having been a late booking and the site being pretty much full. We enjoyed it so much we stayed for an extra night and will definitely come back!

We stayed here the last two weeks of August for the third year on the trot . And I have to say this is one of the best sites ive stayed on . The cleanliness and friendliness of the staff and site in general is second to none . I will be returning and would happily recommend this site to everyone as I have already to my friends .
