A quiet inn situated in the village of Chickerell offering decent accommodation at a reasonable price. I telephoned to book at short notice and was told that there was a punk rock band playing on the night of our stay and as a result we would be given a room well away from the bar to ensure that we were not disturbed. This turned out to be a room adapted for disabled use with a wet room and low units to suit a disabled person, neither of us are disabled and found things a little strange but for a disabled person the facilities would be perfect.
The room was very clean and well furnished with tea and coffee making facilities. There is ample car parking space at the rear. We had an evening meal in the bar, the food from a typical pub menu was fine and sensibly priced. After a good night's sleep we had breakfast back in the bar with a reasonable selection of food on offer. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would certainly stay again if in the area and in need of a good night's accommodation at a very reasonable price.

Room Tip: At least one room adapted for disabled use if required.

From the moment we checked in to the site in the shop we felt so welcome. The pitch was in great nick, large and in a great location. The amenities were so clean and fresh. The other guests we chatted to on the site were just the right amount of friendly. We didn't eat as it was great weather for BBQ's but the food in the pub and the service and drinks were reasonable and lovely. We will be back. Thank you

We had a double room with a spa bath.first impressions of the room were how clean everything was .It had tea making facilities, hairdryer and tv.the bed was very comfortable, had best nights sleep for ages ! We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent with ample portions.there were groups playing both nights who were very good. The landlady and her staff were very pleasant and could'nt do enough to make us feel welcome.Just a short drive to the town centre the pub is in a good location.Breakfast was included in the price and the menu provided a good choice and was very good.Compliments to the chef ! We will certainly be returning.

Parking good. We arrived in early afternoon for lunch, and were shown to the dining room. It was fairly quiet except for a few in the bar area. Service was acceptable, as was the time for the drinks and meal to arrive. The food was satisfactory and of average cost for the portions.

Stayed for one night whilst at the Olympics, parking on site free. Could get the bus into Weymouth central.
Welcomed by bar staff and had a lovely pub lunch. Room good size with jacuzzi bath in bedroom which worked and was fairly noisy but then so was the bar. Very tiny toilet, would hate to be a large person.
Bar closed at midnight and all very quiet.
Good breakfast served quickly and enjoyable.
