We overnighted at Kerrington House to take in supper at River Cottage Canteen followed by a day at the coast. It fitted the bill perfectly. Clean, spacious and friendly characterise this place. Just cannot understand the "tired & dated" comment by a previous reviewer. Rather charming and elegant we would say. WiFi connection to check email, a spacious bedroom and bathroom, and an excellent breakfast served charmingly and quickly in a bright dining room. Just what we needed.

Lovely old building. Room well decorated and furnished but, with walls thinner than a Fabio Capello excuse, every creak and mumble from next door can be heard.

Breakfast OK(ish). Not the greatest selection of fruits and cereals and the cooked bits were passable. Nice toast though.

After reading all of the other reviews, I have to ask myself, will mine be taken as a bad egg?, but unless someone says something, nothing will change, from stains on the wall and carpet, peeling paint in the bathroom, damp in the breakfast room, noisy guests. I had hope to stay here, and have a relaxing weekend, but it wasn't going to happen. I was looking forward to having a full English Breakfast, unfortunately I didn't expect the grease to remain on the plate, and I didn't expect to have to wait 40 mins for it. Perhaps I have been an exception and my experience has been one of those that were an exception, but in it's current state, I won't be staying here again. There are after all, other 5 star B&B's around.

Very enjoyable four day stay. Excellent location to visit the resorts along the Jurassic coast, National Trust Properties and places like Fleet Airarm Museum at Yeovilton. There are many excellent eating places close by, just ask. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable most overlooking a lovely garden. Breakfasts are a treat especially in my case porridge with a whiskey short. The owners are very keen to here your comments about your stay and any issues that may need to be changed etc. Would I stay again ............ Definitely

We booked the Kerrington frankly because we couldn't find something in Lyme Regis, our ultimate reason for travelling, but were very glad we did. A real gem of a B&B: warm welcome on arrival; lovely room; VERY comfortable bed; as mentioned before the small decanter of sherry a really nice touch; and a great breakfast. Pitty the weather was so poor otherwise we would have loved to have spent a bit of time in the garden. If you're visiting the region and want a quiet haven of peace and tranquility which is within easy reach of so many sites, look no further.
