“Lovely American style restaurant”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

Popped in for some breakfast and was really impressed the American lady was lovely and stopped for a chat and nothing was too much hassle, she made differant suggestions and if we wanted something off menu then they could do that if we gave them notice. Also nice not to going to a modern restaurant, it is unique and charming.
It was really nice to go out and not know what to order as everything looked tasty, we will defiantly go back for an evening meal.
The kids loved there pancakes, and us adults loved our variety of breakfasts. Xxx

“Amazing food amazing staff!”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

Had an amazing meal, was served by the lovely American lady, nothing was too much for her and she really made the trip fun for us all. The portions are massive so maybe don't eat for a while before you go in.

I tried the chocolate milkshake, so thick and creamy. I'd advise booking as it got pretty busy in there.

Shame as just moved to Canada, but will definitely visit when I return.

“Quirky little place, delicious food”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

In July of this year 14 of us descended on Route 66 whilst holidaying in the area and we all agreed that Route 66 was a great little place to eat. I'm going to get the one criticism out the way now as I think it's better to finish upbeat.
The slight complain that we had were the ribs - not "falling of the bone" as described in the menu and quite chewy to boot. Maybe Route 66 could re-consider their suppliers?
Aside from that the food was excellent; fabulous fresh burgers (I think that the "man v food" burger was one of the tastiest I've ever had), excellent fajitas, great shakes and desserts in such quantities that we had to pass them around! The staff were great, friendly service and considering there were so many of us, getting our food out pretty well together, took some feat of organisation.
I managed to avoid the moonshine but I'm reliably informed by those who had a shot, that they could hear banjos for several hours after!!
All in all, well worth the money and very much recommended!
