“What's happened???”
Reviewed November 8, 2012 via mobile

I was here in December 2011 and had a great time!! Then the food and service combined for a great and most enjoyable dining experience!!
11 months later and I'm so sad to see a dramatic drop in the service and the food was not to the quality I expected!!
The staff just didn't seem interested!! I felt as if I was a problem for them to deal with!! Not a smile, gruff uncaring service(( The place wasnt 1/3 full!!
The cauliflower entree was 100% bland with no taste!! I couldn't even finish it. The mutton was okay! The desert chef was also carrying on like a git away from but still visible to the diners!!
The previous night I dined at RC canteen at Plymouth. This was brilliant!!! I cannot believe the difference!! Drive to Plymouth if you want the dining experience!!!!!

“Disappointing lunch.”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

We had eaten here before and were expecting a pleasant lunch. Because of a crowded restaurant, we were shown into a small room and given a snack menue but were charged restaurant prices. We complained and eventually got charged correctly with the promise of a free meal next time.

“Very good. Food excellent. Drinks a little pricey but enjoyed every minute of our meal.”
Reviewed November 6, 2012 via mobile

Dined here on Wed 31st of October with my wife, sister in law and our two children aged 12 and 10.

The food was excellent, the service was first class and although the drinks were a little pricey they weren't excessively so.

“Not quite what we were expecting”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

We called in for a Sunday morning breakfast but were a little disappointed. Last year we ate in the evening in the canteen and enjoyed it. However, the breakfast experience wasn't as good. There were 8 of us and we were seated quickly and asked about tea/coffee which arrived in good time. The place wasn't very busy but we had to approach one of the young waitresses to come and take a food order! The various breakfast choices arrived and I had the organic breakfast. It comes with two poached eggs and one of mine was soft, the other hard. One of our group who ordered just toast had to ask again as it had not arrived 10 mins after the other food! Wouldn't rush back but we did get a 10% discount at the Deli and bought some nice pies!
