We have spent two nights at this hotel two nights ago. The hotel is situated on the highway interchange, which makes it very easy to find and very easy to get out and going. The hotel is above a McDonald, a Restaurant Autogrill, and a RestoShop, which enables us to buy what we needed and eat whatever we fancied. The hotel is very clean and the room has a very “high-technology” look. A very good and free Internet connection, a free parking space, the toilets are spread over three spaces, which enables comfort for multi-users. The beds are the adjustable model, where you can elevate your legs, or head, or both of them Yes the shower is a semi-transparent cubicle, but very self-sufficient. The weather being extremely hot in Swiss terms (34ᵒ C., 94 F) we thoroughly enjoyed fantastic air-conditioning, which is rare in Switzerland. Last, but not least, our stay was gratis since we took advantage of our points in Club Carlson.

The hotel is situated ryt on the highway. You have a Mc Donalds ryt outside !!. The view is great. The rooms are comfortable. However, the shower room door is transparent (with one glass facing the beds) and if you are sharing a room with 2 others, it could be a little embarrassing. We had to put out the lights everything someone wanted to use the bathroom!!

There's a small store where you can shop for knick knacks and souvenirs. The place is clean and the staff is polite.

One drawback - its quite a drive from the Inn to the nearest station and the hotel doesn't provide commute to the station. So be prepared and carry some extra change for the cabbies.

This hotel is great. I stayed here for a week after having a bad experience with a hotel in Fribourg.

When I arrived, the staff had left a personalized handwritten note in my room welcoming me to the area -- in German instead of French. Very considerate and shows they pay attention to small details.

Despite being directly off the highway, the rooms are perfectly quiet. They are also clean with the normal Park Inn colorful flair. But, as others have mentioned, the shower is not separated so keep this in mind (although this is typical for many Park Inns).

My room overlooked the village of Estavayer-le-Lac a few kilometers away and a very picturesque typically Swiss landscape. The village is worth visiting and strolling around in the early evening or a weekend, and if you do, visit the Le Musee des grenouilles for a laugh (the Frog Museum).

Breakfast in the morning is a basic, standard continental breakfast. In the rest area, there is an Italian restaurant, a McDonalds, a bakery, and a shop with snacks. Quite convenient. Be advised, if you'd like to have beer, pick it up somewhere else as no alcohol is served anywhere on the rest area. Only 10 minutes away in Payerne is a large shopping area with a big coop grocery store.

We chose this place after checking other hotel options in Switzerland, and looked like it was one of the lesser priced, though not cheap, places to stay. It is well-equipped to handle large tour bus parties, and one had arrived as we were checking in. There appeared to be only one woman available, though it appeared there were two reception stations. We were given an upper level room with a view of the surrounding fields. The room had a king size bed that had separate sleeping controls, the head and feet rests were adjustable (NICE), and the down comforter was soooo cozy. It made for a great sleep. There was a flat screen t.v... and it was set up for wifi - at a price, however! I liked the separate toilet and round shower enclosure - no bathtub. I loved the adjustable light fixtures on each side of the bed and the desk. The separated paneling of the wood floor and the textured floor of the bathroom were smart and efficient. The use of materials was what you would find in a first rate hotel, I think. There is a convenience store which sold groceries, in addition to souvenirs, and also another section for more gourmet choice-type products. Also there was a McDonalds, and an italian eatery next door. We ate at the Italian eatery for dinner. Everything in Switzerland is pricey, you know, but the salad I ordered was fresh and tasty, and I would order it again if I could! Check on the type of credit cards the restaurant takes, though, as I think they did not take Visa or A/E, but they did take M/C! We had breakfast in McDonalds. Standard. Large parking lot in front of the hotel. Overall, it was a good experience: I got a very quiet, restful sleep in a clean, efficient room!

I live in Munich and this is a really good location for stopping half way on the way to the South of France. It is right off the freeway, lots of parking, there are 2 restaurants and at least 2 shops (not sure), a gas station, etc..
I like this hotel very much, very modern, very clean. I was however TOTALLY disgusted at the lack of free Wifi. I could afford the fee but it is just the principle of the thing. There are hotspots EVERYWHERE but this one has to be paid for. Probably won't stop here again based on this one fact. If you don't care about this then for sure stay here. Reception staff spoke some English, always helpful.

Firstly this hotel is on a service station.

This is a very basic but clean and modern hotel. There is no minibar or other amenities, although there is a gym. However, i did not use it so i cannot comment.

My only major complaint is that the shower forms a part of the room and is transparent with a green tint i.e. you can see someone showering! Why in a twin room where you clearly don't want to share a bed with the other person would you want to see them shower?

It's ok if you need a stop off point and are either travelling on your own or are very comfortable with your fellow traveller.
