Just returned from 2 wks here (couple, son age 3 and grandma) and it was better than we had dared hope. Can only assume the lack of reviews is down to people wanting to keep it to themselves for return visits!
Booked with Manos (Thomas Cook) and were worried that it wouldn't actually be a "two bedroom apartment" as stated in the brochure. However it was - lovely and spacious - large hallway, kitchen, bathroom and two separate bedrooms, each with a balcony. Have added photos to try and show the layout etc.
Bedrooms had twin beds, built in wardrobe with 2 drawers, dressing table with 2 drawers, two bedside tables with 2 drawers, mirror, access to balcony. Bathroom was loo, basin and handheld shower. Kitchen actually had a decent toaster and a large electric kettle (luxuries!) plus the usual two cooking rings, and a good fridge with an icebox that actually worked. There was also a table and four chairs, but no storage for foodstuffs - a shelf would have been really handy. Usual assortment of mismatched cutlery, four plates and bowls, coffee can and small frying pan, glasses, small coffee cups (but only two mugs). The balconies each had a small table and two chairs, but if four of you want to eat together then there is only enough room in the kitchen.
There was a good airconditioning unit in each bedroom, with lots of different adjustments for temperature and air flow etc. The cost for this was 56 euros per week (4 euros per night per unit) which was a bit less than the £50 stated in the brochure. There was a good amount of hot water, although this did run out if the apartments were all full and we were a bit late back. However it soon heated back up. Likewise the pressure was a bit low if there was more than one shower running / loo flushing but perfectly ok.
The apartment was very clean (although our one small complaint was that there was no dustpan and brush provided), and the bins (loo and kitchen) were emptied every other day. Bed linen/towels were changed twice a week, and this was done mid to late morning so no early knocks on the door! The owner clearly took pride in her property and while we were there the shower hose was replaced, and the hem of the door curtain was repaired, without any request from ourselves.
The apartments (4 groundfloor + 2 first floor studios, and 1 first floor + 2 second floor apartments) are set back from the lane in a very pleasant setting. One minor point to note is that the (internal) stairs are marble and almost spiral. Not all of the steps are the same width as I found out to my cost when I slipped down four of them on the second day, and there is only a handrail on the narrow inside of the staircase.
Our balconies were at the front of the property (see photos for views) and I think we got the best ones. The other 3rd floor apartment appeared to have one forward facing balcony and presumably one at the rear but there is no access round the side of the property so I don't know what this overlooked.
There is another two storey block in front of the Manos/Apollo ones which appears to be private holiday lets at the back and residential at the front, and the owner lives in the building fronting the lane. (The lane in question is the "road" leading from Nidri Main Road to the Waterfalls). There is a vacant lot to the side of the apartments, and beyond that is the Main Road, so it's a very convenient position without suffering from noise. On the other side is the carpark for the George Hotel, and then the Hotel itself - again we weren't troubled by any noise.
All in all a really lovely place to stay and thoroughly recommended.
