The Crewe Arms Hotel

Went here for Sunday lunch. Hadn't booked but we were shown to a table straight away. Staff, service and food could not be faulted.
I hadn't been there for years having been disappointed in the past, but what a transformation. All the food was freshly prepared and cooked to perfection and excellent value for money.
3 people, 3 courses, coffee and drinks for under £50
Will definitely return.

They have excellent food, and they do a loyalty scheme where they stamp a card for everytime you spend I think it's either £10 or £20 and then with however many stamps you get £20 or so off the bill.
I am a vegetarian and I feel they have a good selection.

Stayed here for one night in July 2012 as we had booked a meal to celebrate my wife's retirement, having previously enjoyed Sunday lunch here. Had an excellent meal and room was comfortable and quiet. Good breakfast followed by a nice walk around Madeley Pool. Very enjoyable.

Lovely welcome. Room clean & warm. Bathroom a bit tired but again clean with shower gel etc and plenty of towels Required a double room, none left but pushed the twins together for us - bless. Had dinner before going to our function. The food (steaks) was delicious, piping hot and served up in a very reasonable time.
The pub itself was busy and cheerful.
Breakfast - cereal; yoghurt; juices and a full English with toast etc ( any or all of the above ) - again served efficiently and hot.
The bill for one night B&B with dinner and drinks for two - £94!!!
We would definitely stay there again if in the area.

This was the second visit to this hotel to be near family for a special dinner. It was a similar experience to the first visit. We arrived at about 2pm and went to leave our suitcases and freshen up after the journey. The room was the same as before COLD.We were pointed to a heater to put on if we were cold. When we returned later to prepare for dinner we were still cold so the heater went on. The central heating came on at about 6.45pm. The bathroom was very tired and the tiles needed a good scrub in the bath area. The food in the pub was OK.
Breakfast was limited tea was OK but coffee was very weak.Plenty of toast on offer and a selection of cornflakes etc available.Good yoghurt but no fat free.

Food was great but rooms are abit dated definatly and bathrooms.. Lots of parking. Rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. We only stayed here for one night while working away and i would stay here again. I had a great sleep and the food was nice....thats all that matters.

My partner and I attended an event at Keele University and needed somewhere close by with double rooms. The Crewe Arms fitted the bill and is only a short drive away. The hotel is set back from the road, with plenty of parking. The room was well priced and comfortable and clean. The bathroom was a little dated but fine, though a hook for clothing and towels would be a good and easy improvement. Breakfast was very good and the service was fantastic - even if I did cause a little confusion by having cereal and full English! Overall we were extremely pleased with our stay and highly recommend it for anyone visiting Keele University. (P.S. - I'm sure this isn't the same hotel some people have left reviews for!)
