We have always had a great time here both in the summer with the kids and dogs sitting outside and in the winter with friends both inside and out.
Love it when there is a music fest on which is usually a couple of times a year.
The Peter Boat have staff going around outside taking peoples drinks orders and I have never had a problem with the drinks not turning up or the wrong drinks arriving.
the drinks can be on the pricey side I think personally.
The food is better than OK, It is what you would expect from a very busy pub. It comes out quick, but is good enough that you feel you have enjoyed a good meal.
in the summer it can be really difficult to get a seat but you have the sea wall to sit on if this is the case.
There has always been a good vibe in this pub.

Lunch with friends and the restaurant was fairly busy but service was quick. This is essentially basic pub-grub, OK but not really special. Starters were ordinary - we chose prawn cocktail and an avocado, tomato and mozzarella salad, disappointingly served with four quarters of fairly hard yellow tomato - not quite the Italian flag effect usual with this salad. There were plenty of chips with my main course - a bit hard and over-cooked, as was the sea bass, frankly, and a mass of salad with the crab or chicken salads, whch they said, were tasty. We didn’t have desserts. A bit pricey for the standard of food but people do seem to go again and again, since the very helpful staff recognise many of the customers, but not a favourite for us.

We were so impressed with our meal at the peterboat. It was a sunny Friday evening, peak summer and very busy. But we were very well looked after and there were clearly plenty of well trained staff working. Our waiter was young, but very pleasant and attentive and our food arrived quickly which is a major pro when dining with a toddler. We both had the battered halloumi and it was perfect. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Extremely busy pub in a great location in the old town. Good drinks, good service. Visited twice over the weekend. Would definitely return.

I've lived in L-O-S all my life and have been coming here for years. I've noticed a massive improvement in the operation of this pub over the past couple of years and the food is great. Staff very friendly - thanks for Kellee & Mami for their great service on a busy Sunday lunchtime. They were very accommodating. Food was served quickly and was plentiful and tasty. Only gripe we had was the beef was too well done for my husband - he asked for rare and it was well done. Meal came to around £170 for 5 of us - 2 courses and drinks, overall not too bad pricewise. I'd highly recommend this restaurant and bar for anyone visiting the area.
